My husband and I got married here in September 2023. It was absolutely beautiful. The bathrooms were clean, And it was dog friendly.
And the people that work there helped us move a picnic table that we couldn't move ourselves.

We went to watch the flower moon rise. The park is partially flooded but the roads in and out we're good last night. Not sure how things look today after much rain. We saw a heron, an eagle , raccoons and we saw a doe run off to nap after having her baby. All in all it was a magical time. Star gazing . Down side:The light on the bridge attract bugs at night.

Great county park with playgrounds for kids, fishing spots, canoe & pedal boats to rent. Fun for a family. Did not camp at the campgrounds but it looks very welcoming.

A wonderful county park that has a camp ground. Two different playground areas. Paved trails for running or walking. Trails for hiking in the woods or running on. A place to rent boats. This winter they are holding a winter gnome hunt where you can try and find 10 different gnomes hiden along the horseshoe trail. The gnomes will be at this park until jan 30th before the move onto a different park for the next month.

Awesome place for playing, camping, and fishing. The place was so clean and well kept too. The bathroom had no bugs which is crazy for an outside bathroom!!!

This is a beautiful Scenic park! We spent the day hiking and had a wonderful time.
The trails were well maintained and clearly marked on the map. The park has fishing opportunities as well as kayak and canoe easy access points. You can get canoe rentals, and they will provide pick up at the end of your trip back to the park. Something for everyone here!

Our family of 5 adults stayed in Bobwhite cabin and our besties family of 5 were in the Aspen cabin. There's a lot of storage and we were all comfortable. It was great to be so close to each other with open spaces to play games, cook our meals, and places to eat. The cabins were super clean and the air conditioner was splendid. We truly enjoyed our time and may do this every year with them.

What a beautiful place. We stayed in a cabin and we will plan another stay there. Staff was wonderful. The bunk beds are a little high up from the floor but comfortable to sleep on. Great trip!

Great place to hike near Cedar Rapids / Marion. If you are up for a stair claim, make sure you visit the tower on the south side of the park.

Stopped and bought some sandwiches and headed over to park hoping for a nice spot to picnic. We found many options, and alot of variety of covered picnic areas and restrooms. Spots next to water and place to rent paddle boats and kayaks.

I absolutely love this part! It has everything you need for a wonderful camping trip or day trip. It has nicely groomed and extensive hiking trails, boat rental for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats, a shuttle up for two or four hour long canoe trips, a wonderful biking trail that goes into nearby Central City, four camping areas with everything from primitive group camps to RV camping to a variety of nicely appointed and modernized cabins at affordable prices. The campground playground is one of the best playgrounds we have ever been at with really neat and unique play features that my kids absolutely love. It also has an observation tower which I believe is the highest point in Linn County. All in all it's a great place to camp; it'll keep your kids and you entertained for days at a time and it is one of my favorite spots.

Camping and public restrooms are not open yet, but children's play areas are open. Picnic tables are still stacked. Lots of dreding and construction by canue area. You can still take a lovely drive or walk around the park.

There has been a lot of renovation lately. Since the last time I came, a huge picnic shelter with countertops and electric outlets, making it the perfect place for large group gatherings. They also made a nice new playground, with soft pad ground with a river and land theme, nature themed climbing structures, and a cool zipline thing. There is a shelter that you can reserve at the top of a designated sledding hill, as well as an elk enclosure. During the summer, there is a tower that you can climb to get a better view. However, at a trailhead there is an old, dilapidated sign that has not been replaced.

Gorgeous place, I will update when I get to explore a little more but from what I saw it seems like a very pleasant place.

If you don’t enjoy the scenic views in this park, you may want to find yourself a good eye doctor.

Great park - especially for 2-5 year-olds! The playground is like a tree house and has swings for all ages with beautiful walking trails nearby.
