Taco Tierra of Mt. Carmel

Long line at the drive thru- but I know why!! Yummmm!
The line moved really quickly, a young man came out to each car and took a handwritten order. Prices fair, open late. Glad I went!

I would like to think the manger that got us a 25.00 gift card for the benefit. I will be come back here more now. I do come 2 or 3 times a week but now it will be more. Thank you so much

Taco Tierra is a nostalgic stop for us every time we are in the area. I grew up on this food. Love to get the big travel cup they offer each year. ❤

Refill cups for purchase that you can bring back with you for a great price. They have great food and everyone is always friendly. My absolute favorite is going on Friday for fish tacos! 😍

I have been eating at Taco Tierra for over 40 years. You cannot beat the taste of they're sancho's. But pretty much every item is very good. I met the owner when I was a teenager when he open his 2 or 3rd restaurant in Princeton, IN. I was hooked from the very first time I ate there. I eat there once a week if not more often if I get the chance. I highly recommend this place to everyone. By the way the owner is a pretty good guy so it's just another reason to support this place. But be prepared for a long line if you go through drive through. You won't have to wait long though because Mt. Carmel has the best workers and they are very good at their jobs.

Mike, The food is always very excellent and great. Service is top notch. I have been going there many years and enjoy the experience more every time I go. I usually do the drive through. Your business totally rocks!!! My brother Ben and his family really enjoy the food a lot. They think that it’s wonderful!! The workers are great and do a good job at getting the food to me in a nice timely manner. Overall, Your restaurant is excellent and my parents and I and my brother’s family will be going there for many years to come. Keep on keeping on and keep up the good work!! AWESOME!!

Taco Tiera is synonymous with Mount Carmel. Try their nearly world famous sancho and wash it down with one of their fantastic Pepsi products. It is a locally owned and managed business. The Blake family are first class people all around.

Anytime I'm in town I stop and eat there.

This is a fantastic little spot for tacos. It's not as fancy as a new fangled taco bell, but it sure tastes much better. Do yourself a favor and get the hot sauce on whatever and add a piping hot churro, you won't be disappointed.

Love this place. Everytime I go to Mount Carmel, I get a ton of sanchos. It is expensive, but boy is it delicious. I'd suggest getting a speaker to take orders. It is very old school with the lack of technology.

I grew up in SE Richland County and Taco Tierra was within pretty easy reach. I remember chomping on a taco while driving down the road in my '81 Cutlass Supreme, lol.
I live in Charlotte these days and when we either drive home or fly into Evansville we always make a little detour to come here.
The taco sauce is unique and can't be beat. The nacho sauce is the bomb. We're taking our next trip up next weekend and we'll definitely be swinging by!

An institution. This place has been a local favorite since the dawn of man. Go on Fridays. Fish tacos are out of this world.

When made correctly , food is decent. Challenge is getting the young employees to care to make the food correctly.

I returned for another meal and tried the chicken tacos this time and they were amazingly good. I have been eating here for over 35 years and never have I had the chicken tacos. Highly recommend them...

Great food, burritos. Apple dessert thing was delicious. Great place to catch up. This was our second time to meet friends here for lunch! Good times.

The food is great and the servers seem like they know what they’re doing. The only issue is they’re busy all the time.
