Had the breaded pork tenderloin basket with slaw and fries after my 6+ mile hike at Backbone State Park to see the fall colors. The tenderloin was top notch! Coleslaw was creamy and the fries were not salted to death. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The dining area was well kept also. Keep up the great work and I will be back again!

I've been here a few times now but this was my first time trying the infamous Tenderloin Sandwich. Full disclosure, I rarely like anything breaded & fried and even I liked the Tenderloin 😊. We also ordered a Burger & Fries and I have had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich here before that was delicious. The food has always been obviously fresh, well constructed and yummy with equally good and personable service. I definitely recommend making the jaunt out to try them if you are going to be in the area.

We had the breaded tenderloin and Portobello fries. Tenderloin Was Juicy and thick. Portabella fries were the bomb. Very nice people

Best little secret in Eastern Iowa. A must experience. Excellence in food and service! We celebrated our anniversary with grilled salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, jumbo grilled tiger shrimp, grilled veggies and don't forget toe salad bar! Too full for their dessert offerings! Must return!

Now I can say more than it is a nice looking building since I finally made it by when they were open. They make a great fried pork tenderloin sandwich. I recommend it highly. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been wanting to eat at PrairieMoon On Main for some time now and I’m so glad we finally made the little drive.

Hands down THE best service I’ve ever had! All hands on deck and they never missed a beat!

The steaks and salmon were all cooked perfectly and all 3 desserts we tried were phenomenonal- Huckleberry ice cream?! 👏🏻

The salad bar was definitely my favorite- Definitely not your every day salad bar with so many options like pea salad, potato salad, differnet pasta salads, broccoli salad, regularly salad, and more!

The drive is a quick jaunt, just watch for deer!

Prairieburg—deserves minimum 10 stars — I haven’t been there since I was a kid (my Grandpa’s hometown), in the original building. Have heard many say we needed to try their pork tenderloin (BEST in Iowa 2020). We stopped in tonight the place was busy. The bartender (our waitress) was awesome she was kept running yet took time for personalized service to each table (10 stars to her, our pop glasses were always filled). The reputation is well deserved that was the best tenderloin (or as we grew up calling them pork fritter) we’ve had since moving back in 2020. I’m not sure why the onion rings aren’t the big selling point though they were simply the best we’ve had in years. Everything about the meal was superior. It’s a neat lil joint in a small small rural town but well worth the drive. As far as my tummy is concerned it was worth every penny - that said it is VERY REASONABLY PRICED!! We definitely will be back…

Went early and was almost at capacity when we left. Service was great as was the food.

I had heard this place was good, but it ended up being absolutely amazing! The tenderloins are like no other. We also got cheese curds, onion rings and fries. Again, they were the best. Seriously. Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean. So worth the drive. You won't be disappointed.

Like a lot of places, things were hit and miss during the pandemic. Now apparently they are back to regular hours and great food and service.

While on a motorcycle ride, we stopped at PrairieMoon on Main to try their award winning tenderloins. Excellent sandwich......great service. Well worth the ride from Waterloo.

Great food and service. Loved the outdoor patio and love music. Beau Timmerman always puts on a good show.

Drove almost an hour to try! Loren was amazing. The entire staff were welcoming and had great insight on the menu/services. Our waitress was fabulous and wonderful! Food....well simply "the bomb". Absolutely the best tenderloin in the tri-states. Randy took all of the pickels off so that he could savor the flavor! The cod was amazing, lightly breaded, and full of flavor. Amazing amazing amazing all around! We will be back with friends for sure. Loved the atmosphere as well. Your new DBQ friends Randy and Mel!!!!

Get the cod. Have had the tenderloin a few times and it's seriously awesome. Mom and myself switched it up with getting the grilled cod with butter and garlic mashed potatoes. Probably best I've ever had. Mashed potatoes could use a bit less garlic the balance was a bit off. Also salad bar potato salad is amazing.

Breaded pork tenderloin is amazingly good! Their onion rings are the best ever! The service was great, our waitresses were friendly and this is one place we will definitely go to again!

Showed up late for the prime rib, but ordered a ribeye dinner instead. Excellent steak cooked to perfection, great sides, and excellent service! Will be coming back often!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.
