Huntsville Police Department

Sunday afternoon my friend called to tell me not to meet her because her car had run out of gas on Governors drive and she wasn't sure if she would be abel to get out of there for a while. I told her I would bring her gas and I went to the garage and found about a gallon of gas but no lid for it. We stuffed paper down to keep it from spilling and off I went. Much to my surprise it was an extremely high traffic time. By the time I managed to get pulled in behind her ( she was in the turning lane), I soon realized it was too dangerous to get out of the car, so I called 911. Soon an officer drove up and came to our aid, we had numerous problems with getting the car to start up, had to get more gas which my son in law brought to us and finally we were on the way again. Very scary! I truly cannot say enough about Officer Burke. He is an angel sent from God to protect people in trouble. He was generous with his humor and his smile not just trying to do something almost impossible but he had the most wonderful attitude I have ever encountered from anyone in the business of serving. He is just amazing and it is my wish that he be commended for service above and beyond the call. He didn't have to do what he did, but I believe he is just that way. Thank you so much Officer Burke you are amazing!!! God Bless you and God Bless the woman who raised you, my hat goes off to her.

Professional staff

Called for destruction of property. Got laughed at just because it was a phone. Which we all know is just as important as a vehicle. The officer that talked to me probably couldn't outrun a donut rolling down hill let alone hold his own in a confrontation. This department is a disgrace to the police force when compared to other departments around the country. Don't expect anything that can't be handled from a police car laptop.

Had my still drivable car towed after a mild fender bender and left me on the side of the road and no way to get my car back or to get home
