Mason Dixon Bakery & Bistro

Mason Dixon made our wedding cake last year, and when I called last month to order a couple cupcakes for our anniversary, they informed me that they'd make us a 6-inch cake for free! Apparently it's just something they do, which I found pretty neat.

When we picked it up, we also had lunch while we were there. The new location is really nice, much bigger and brighter. The tea was God awful, but when I went to the front and asked for some milk to put in it, the young lady behind the counter poured me up a glass, free of charge.

I got the caprese grilled cheese, which was freakin' delicious, and my husband got a burger (I think? It's been almost two weeks.) Food was excellent, service as well--just avoid the tea 🤣

My Daughter and I were going into town shopping. I was starving and typed in breakfast on Google maps. Took us to this gem of a place! Super friendly staff and EXCELLENT food! Highly recommend it!

Love having a bakery in town that offers gluten free baked goods and food! My husband has Celiacs so I totally understand the struggle of making GF baked goods. We tried the fried chicken sandwiches, London fog latte, lemon cupcakes, apple carrot muffins and the caramel brownies. Everything was tasty, but of the sweets the caramel brownies are the best! The latte was good, and the fried chicken sandwiches were very tasty! The buns are a bit tough/dense but again, that’s gluten free breads in general. We will be back to try more!

Normally I would talk about how delicious their gluten-free food was, but thats not the case here. I just have to talk about how delicious the food is all around, I would put their GF meals up against what all you wheat eaters are having. I was so excited I ordered 2 sandwiches and a cinnamon roll and was not disappointed. The caprese grilled cheese was fantastic, and the apple brie chicken sandwich was top-notch. I am normally not a sweet eater, but the cinnamon roll brought a tear to my eye. It was better than what i have had before my celiac activated.

GF or not, I would recommend eating here.

Amazing GF bakery and bistro. I was so excited to find this gem and it did not disappoint. I tried the cinnamon roll, the first I've had in many years, and it was amazing - you could not tell it was GF in the slightest. I also had the chicken and rice bowl which was hearty and tasty. They have fresh bread, cupcakes, and other pastries as well. Highly recommend to anyone, GF or not.

If you're gluten intollerant, this is the place to go. I'm lucky enough to not have this issue, but my daughter does. The baked goods they have here are every bit as good - if not better - than their glutenous counterparts. Excellent food and service. Only wish it was a little loser to home.

Mason Dixon is fantastic for their allergy aware menu options and extras!!! I love the superfood salad, the burger, chicken salad sandwich made with avocado instead of mayo and several cupcakes!!! My most recent visit I noticed they were selling gluten free and egg free biscuits that I had not seen before so I bought 3 packages. For a girl who has not been able to eat egg or gluten for 9 years, these biscuits were heavenly!!! Ashley, thank you for all you do and continuing to be creative, it is very appreciated!

Wonderful little place!! The staff were generous and lovely. The inside is absolutely stunning I almost wanted to do an impromptu photoshoot inside! The food though oh my goodness!! Is it a bit on the higher price side? A little. Is it worth it? YES! I ordered the Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon on top and my friend got the Chicken and Rice Bowl. We both ordered iced lattes which their new cookie butter one is delicious! Its not overwhelmingly sweet and has little bits of cookie in it! 1000% would come back!

I can't say enough about this place!! I have a wheat allergy and was visiting my friend. She didn't even know it was there! Beautiful space inside. Incredibly helpful employees. The bread and cinnamon rolls were excellent but the cupcakes are complete heaven!! They even have an event space!

Enjoyed a lunch out with the ladies! Good food, clean facilities and friendly service. Some of our meals included the hamburger, turkey sandwich and the Caesar salad. The salad had a chipotle dressing that was spicier than expected. The burger was a large portion and well worth the money! Did I mention they have cupcakes?

We hired Mason Dixon as our wedding caterer in April 2022 and were extremely impressed. They handled everything: dinner, dessert (you'd never know they were gluten free!), staff, serving ware, and table cloths. We had a very enjoyable tasting, and they were extremely easy to contact and work with leading up to the big day. Don't let the name fool you- this is the place to go if you're looking for a caterer in Huntsville without the typical southern BBQ style food although i'm sure they could handle that too. Highly recommend!

They were 5 min from closing and served all of us with a smile and never rushed us. Everything taste delicious and I don’t even need to eat gluten-free baked goods. I had the shortbread, lemon, lavender cookie and holy smokes. It was divine.

My kids have several food allergies. & this restaurant is absolutely amazing. We are new to the area and so thankful to have found a place to eat without having to worry about cross contamination! The burgers, blueberry muffins and biscuits were big hits with my kids’

Lose the gluten not the flavor. Everything here is delicious. Unlike some gf foods it's not dried out or bland. Such great food, great atmosphere. And an amazing staff and owners.

Amazing! Had paleo options for desserts which were AMAZING. If you are GF or paleo I high recommend, it will make your day! Plus the whole place is SUPER cute and the staff was so nice.

Best gluten free baked goods I've ever had. The pumpkin spice coffee cake was better than any wheat version. Moist, not too sweet, just perfection. The lemon lavender shortbread was refreshing, light, and tasty. The cinnamon rolls are legit and divine. We bought some additional things to take home with us to try. This bakery makes me want to move to Huntsville!

This place is amazing!! I buy the gf/df biscuits regularly. And the lavender lemon shortbread cookie.. so good! Lunch: I love the fried chicken biscuit sandwich! 😋 Also the new location is just gorgeous.

Attended the soft opening at the new location and just wow!! The space is incredible and the menu has a lot of new items - it all looked so delicious it was hard to decide. Definitely recommend the avocado toast (pictured) or the burger with the Housemade chips - 100% We will be adding MD into our lunch spot rotation.

Mason Dixon is a superb catering service! They catered my daughter’s wedding and they were outstanding. The entire process was so fun and seamless - from the tasting to the planning to the day of service. Ashley is a joy to work with and so extremely helpful. She put so much thought and time consulting with the chef, bride and groom to plan a fabulous menu and scrumptious late night snack for the reception, designing the wedding cake that was delightful and so yummy, and providing an amazing day of lunch for the bridal party including awesome house made chips. The food was excellent and delicious, and the presentation and service was perfection. Ashley and her staff were constantly working throughout the day making sure everything ran smoothly and professionally. Ashley is the absolute kindest and Mason Dixon provides a top notch catering service. We were so pleased with the exceptional service they provided.

This was the only bakery in town I could find that would make custom cake pops for me. I ordered gender reveal pops for my family to find out about our baby, and they came out great. Highly recommend!
