Abbington Downs Park And Playground

Nice little park that seems pretty well maintained. I like that it has that rounded, small gravel instead of mulch. It has swings, modest standard playground equipment, and a traditional style jungle gym which I don't see a lot of these days. It has a doggie cleanup station as well. It also has several picnic tables, a small covered pavilion, and some charcoal grills. The big kid swings actually do have mulch, but it's fine. Everything else has those nice soft gravel things.

This is a beautiful area in a quiet neighborhood. The park has a lot of potential, but the grass is overgrown and a lot of the park needs some maintenance such as the roof to the picnic area and there are a lot of ant hills.

There are a few beautiful flowering trees and the playground equipment is new and safe. I love the use of pea gravel rocks and grass instead of wood mulch. There are a lot of open areas for dogs and kids to run. For safety measures, there are some fence borders and the park itself is far off the road.
