The Orthopaedic Center - Physical Therapy

I had total hip replacement surgery and received physical therapy for seven weeks at TOC in Athens. My therapists were Cassie, Brad, Tim and Ethan. The therapy was very effective and helped with my recovery tremendously. They were knowledgeable and explained the exercises clearly and made certain I was performing the exercises correctly. They were compassionate and their attitude showed they really wanted to help me to achieve in becoming stronger and walking well on my own. All were friendly and I enjoyed conversing with them. From the personable ladies up front who always welcomed you with a smile to the techs in the back whom administered the stem treatments and were always kind and courteous and made certain you were comfortable with the treatment, the entire staff was great! TOC Athens is the place to go for exceptional service! Thank you so much.

I just completed knee replacement physical therapy, and I cannot say enough good things about Athens TOC Physical Therapy. They were very hands-on when needed and were very clear and encouraging on the exercises and stretching even on the really tough days. I met all my goals with their help. I wasn't left to my own devices at all. I formed a good relationship with everyone who worked with me. There also seems to be a good synergy and comraderie with all of the staff. Shout out to Seth, Savanna and Jacob and the great techs. A very positive experience for me.

I can't say enough about the fantastic care I received from the TOC physical therapy I received in Athens. The therapists that worked with me listened to me and were very compassionate to my well being. They encouraged me to do as much as I could but I never felt pressured about doing any of my exercises. Tim and Kate are Excellent therapists and all of the staff seemed very cordial and kind.

This is the best Physical Therapy experience I have ever had. 100% would go back again. The staff is amazing, They are compassionate and considerate. These people really care about your well-being. They talk to you about everyday things as well as address any concerns you may have. I am going to miss them all when my therapy is complete.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The Physical therapist explained was was expected and told me what a good job I did during the stretches and exercises. She also said if she thinks I need to do some better, she would let me know. I appreciate her honesty and determination to help me heal. The therapy area is kept very clean and organized.

I will be recommending Whitney Thompson to all my family and friends. If you need a great physical therapist, Whitney is the one for you. The exercise plan she provided for me has resolved my on going issue of 6 months. I'm so glad that I was assigned to Whitney. They have a new facility in Athens that can provide the services you may need. We're very fortunate to have this facility to service the Athens and surrounding areas.

Love the therapists here. They are all excellent. But Whitney stands out. She talked me into dry needling for my shoulder issue. And I’ve been thoroughly impressed by how it takes the pain away. Thanks so much! Russ

I have been receiving therapy guidance from the therapists at TOC in Athens. The entire crew is knowledgeable, sensitive, caring, and works as a team to provide the BEST treatment possible. I have been involved in therapy several times and with several other groups that, while good, do not measure up to TOC in Athens.i highly recommend them to you.

I love Athens TOC. Words can't say enough to describe how much I appreciated their help. You will have to experience it for yourself to fully understand that they are the best.

I spent the last 6 weeks with this crew and they were wonderful! From Ms. Ginger always greeting me with a smile up front to the PTA’s and very smart PT’s in the back. Very efficient and helped me tremendously!

The TOC staff in Athens, AL, really doesn't need a review from anyone. The work they do, speak for itself. It's the little things, like asking you, if you want a drink if water, I have never been asked that before. The friendly staff speak everytime they see you. They are very caring and I just love that attention. Keep up the nice work, all of you are doing..

I really look forward to to therapy. No matter what my pain le level is I know I will feel better when I I leave. I don't know if it's because of the physical therapy or the warmth they make me feel. I know that they really want new to feel better. They go above and beyond to make that possible. This team deserve every one of those 5 Stars. i am very pleased with TOC sports theraphy facility and am taking theraphy on my right shoulder. Abreia and Brad, the therapist's have been performing streaches and movement to my shoulder and discuss the progress and my condition during the session. They are friendly and knowledgeable and the facility is spotless. I would recommend this facility to all that need to have theraphy after surgery.

I am 65 years old and I am a frequent flyer of TOC. Physical Therapist, Very professional, explains clearly what and how to do each exercise. Provides handouts for me to be able to remember how to do at home what I have learned in TOC sessions. Pays attention to how I am doing on each exercise and adjusts the level of effort based on my abilities.
Technicians for the Stems and Ice Therapy also, Very professional, polite and courteous. They go the extra mile to periodically check with the patient during the treatment to see if the treatment dial needs to go higher or lower. Awesome, cause sometimes I say its good and later I have determined I would like it turned up a few notches.

TOC Physical Therapy of Athens, AL is Awesome 5 Stars from me.
A qualifier to my statements. Over the past 8 years I have have two Rota-tor Cuff surgeries with PT, one Spinal Fusion with PT, and two Hip Surgeries same leg (1) Total Hip (2) Hip Revision with PH.

All of which I have recovered and have no follow-on pain from all but the last Hip Revision, simply because I just started PH for this surgery mid Jan 2020. I will always use Athens TOC whenever possible. Respectfully, Jimmy Townsend

Whitney and all I've had the pleasure of seeing and working with are great. They really listen and help in every way possible. I actually just had the needling done by Whitney and I am ready for Tuesday morning to do it again.

I have been participating in my therapy for several weeks. Most recently following surgery to my Achilles tendon. I have worked with Dylan, Jacob and most recently with Krishna. I couldn't be more pleased with both my progress and their care and professionalism. I am barely 2 months from reconstructive surgery of my right Achilles tendon and I am already walking with only a cane ( first time this morning). From original prognosis, I am over three weeks ahead of schedule. I credit much of this to the protocol from my therapy and from the education that my therapists have given me.

Professional caring organization. Impressed with their concern for the patient and how effective they are when it comes to taking care of their needs. Very organized and focused on customer support. My experience with their care for me has been awesome!

I recently had a cyst removed from the top of my wrist. After surgery, I couldn’t bend my wrist hardly at all. Since starting therapy I am making progress and moving toward full mobility! Thanks Mike and Caroline for your dedication to my recovery.
