Wow!!! We saw this restaurant on TikTok a while back so I decided to take my hubby for his birthday for the big country fried steak. They were pretty busy for a weekday when we got there but we were immediately seated. EVERYTHING we ordered was good! The fried mushrooms were great and there were so many! The pics are AFTER all 5 of us had some!! The maverick meltdown burger was on point with the grilled jalapeño’s and THICK cut bacon. Service was outstanding! When they found it was my husbands birthday, they even brought him a hat! Which for the man that has everything lol that really made his day! We will definitely be back! 30 min drive is definitely worth it! Great food and great pricing!

We saw this place on TikTok and we had to visit the food was tasty and the staff was friendly.. We order some of the Maverick favorites and we were not disappointed. The chicken fried steak is enough for 2 meals and the pork chops had a great flavor. Our waitress was nice and made the dinning experience even better. We drove an hour and thirty minutes for this restaurant on a Sunday it was well worth the drive.

So we first started off with the half order gizzards and the maverick sampler, im not a fan of gizzards but had me HOOKED! Then i tried the Maverick country fried steak, it was the best by far. Alot of meat. Mac n cheese was good, the mash potatoes were homemade which is a A++. My wife got the maverick melt. She tore that thing up! Kinda felt bad for it. For a table of 5 adults we had alot of leftovers and made room for dessert, everything here was alot for so little! The best peach cobbler ive ever had. Brownie sundae was really good as well. I pray for this restaurant to grow. Really great spot for the family! Most definitely grabbing some merchandise and coming back! Yall enjoy 😉 . The staff are really great funny people!

Music selection is awesome. Small cozy road side food stop. Great food! Great options. Huge drinks! Great taste. I’ve only been here a few times as I travel though here a few times a year, but the service has been consistently consistent!

1st time customer...... definitely worth the small drive from San Antonio. Chicken Fried Steak, Asparagus, Sweet Potato Fries and some Texas Toast.........Perfect! We will definitely return!

The food was so good and the service was amazing. The chicken fried steak was huge! It easily could feed two people. It did take a while to get our food but it was pretty busy and worth the wait. The banana pudding was definitely a hit. Our server, Edna, was amazing. She was very prompt and accommodating. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place.

Huge chicken fried steak for $18 that's a deal. Great tea and awesome desserts.
Tried and can't wait to go back.
If your close to Floresville,Texas you must go try it out.

Staff is always friendly and welcoming...I love the set up.... Always been a hit.....theeee baked potatoes 🥔are always huge....if you hangry....get the chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken... ....I always go with the car76...I love okra...... but the fried mushrooms & pickles are great apps....I tried the cucumber ranch water It was refreshing...🙌🏻❤

Everything was awesome. My grilled chicken breast with mushrooms and baked potatoe was great and very good portions. I loved the fried mushrooms. The breading was just right. Only thing was the gravy. It was watered down and had no flavor. Other than this, I'll be back to try other dishes with family.

Highly recommend, very tasty food at a great price and wonderful service, our waitress was very friendly and helpful giving us recommendations for our first time visiting the restaurant. For appetizer we ordered the half order of nachos that were delicious, the chicken fried steak plate that was huge plus the 2 sides and I had the delicious and juicy buffalo chicken sandwich with my side of mac and cheese. We spend less than 50 dollars (not adding the tip) and we also got a homemade German chocolate cake to go. It’s a nice drive outside of San Antonio but it’s definitely worth it.

We had a big party and the waitress was very helpful and quick. Even though they ran out of mashed potatoes everything was great!

Our experience here was a great one. The portions are massive! So be ready to chow down. We had fried pickles and cheese curds for our appetizers. They were both delicious. My boyfriend friend had the shrimp skewers, his dad had the fried fish, and I had the chicken fried steak. The only thing that could have used a little work was the flavor for the chicken fried steak. There wasn’t much flavoring and to me, the steak was a little over fried with some burnt coloring on the inside. But I still ate it and everything else was to die for.

Stopped by for a drink with friends. Manager/bartender was awesome and took pictures for us. Will definitely go back. Full bar, non 🚬

Great food, big portions and still affordable to eat. Plenty of seats available in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Parking was a bit tricky and we weren't sure where we could park when the front and rear lot was full, but other than that our experience was very enjoyable.

This place is great, I like the style, set up is like an old small town country restaurant, where you know the food is gonna be good. We were in Floresville for an appointment and saw it and we went home to San Antonio got freshed up and came back to eat there. I think the only thing disappointing was their sodas, there was no fizz to them.

I had the Maverick chicken fried steak and you can see in the pictures, I'm holding up a jalapenos slice next to it just to give you an idea of how large it is. The gravy was so delicious the breading was amazing, it's amazing it was just so good and guess what? I took it home and I had it 3 more meals out of it!

We all had dessert too and I ended up getting the banana pudding, I wish there had been a little bit more bananas in it but it was still delicious.

My mom got the peach cobbler and she loved it because she said there wasn't too much cinnamon in it, which can ruin a peach cobbler for her.

We will definitely return.

This place has been an all time favorite, delicious food and awesome staffing.

Always good food but you better be hungry they put alot on the plate. Service is also great.

Food was great went for there famous chicken fried steak...I went on a Saturday and I think the prices were to high. I need to try lunch special m-f..but food was good

I have been there several times and it has always been good! The food and service are outstanding and the atmosphere is country and rustic. I'll be back!
