I had a great experience bringing my guinea pig Toby in for an issue with his eye. I felt like Toby was in good hands with Dr. Hammer and everyone was so nice and accommodating for him. I will definitely have to bring in my other 3 piggies.

Today was the fist time I have taken my parrot to this clinic. Dr. Hammer was so nice and explained how they hold a bird while doing an exam, and a toe nail trim and was so gentle with Pickles.
Birds tend to get stressed being in a crate, car and going to a strange place. Pickles did great and we thank you for being so kind to our feathered child. Patsy

Dr. Metzler was amazing with our cockatiel Coco who broke his leg! She was so kind and gentle with him and made me feel so much better during the whole process. The 2 hour drive from our house to her office was worth every minute!!

I brought Evelyn and her older sister Oreo in after a brutal dog attack. I wasn’t sure either one of them were going to make it. After a careful examination, Dr. Hammer gently informed me that Oreo’s injuries were extensive and the kindest thing I could do for her was let her go. They gave me time to say goodbye and filled out the cremation paperwork for me, along with giving me an incredibly thoughtful memorial gift of her footprint in a heart with her name inscribed on it.

They got to work immediately saving Evelyn. Her injuries were serious, but they felt like they could help her. The recovery was (and still is) a process. She lost an eye and has some cranial nerve damage. Dr. Mathis has overseen her recovery and with biweekly visits has ensured I’ve got the right tools and knowledge to help her thrive. Dr. Mathis has been thorough, informative and very clearly invested in Evelyn’s recovery.

The clinic staff has been extremely helpful and supportive throughout the entire process, friendly and welcoming to Evelyn during her checkups. Even the clinic cat is curious about the chicken in the basket. The clinic is always clean and smells nice.

I have used Summerfields since 2018 and I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone but todays appointment blew the others away. The front staff came over several times to talk to my girls and pet them. I felt so seen as a pet parent and not just another patient in the lobby. Then the vet and the vet tech were so kind and handled my problem child with such grace. Just another reason I love this office and their team!

They are always quick to sit in the floor to play with your fur baby before starting the exam and they truly care about their patients. It is an animal hospital so emergency’s come through and the wait time for your appointment can be prolonged but worth it for the care care they give. I love their evening and weekend hours too!

When our Papillon broke his front leg, Dr. Metzler was very thorough and explained his injury and expectations very clearly. We thought he might have a slight chance of his leg healing. After bi weekly bandage changes for 8 weeks his leg just was not healing and he was not a candidate for a plate. We had to have his leg amputated which broke our hearts. Dr. Metzler told us that dogs adapt really well to having only 3 legs. She was so right. The staff at Summerfields is very caring and helpful. I felt like I was a pain in the you know what but not once did anyone ever make me feel like a bother. I love you all and I will continue to bring our little man to you.

The office is clean, the staff is friendly. It was easy to set an appointment. The visit was thorough and all of our questions were answered. I felt confident that the doctor was knowledgeable and provided the best treatment plan for our cat.

Love Dr Hammer! He is gentle and explains everything in advance. He also gives all treatment options and the cost of each. Couldn’t ask for a more caring, wonderful vet.

Dr. Hammer got me through a rough time in letting Carter McLovin go early this year but he said I have a big heart and should consider an addition for Coco. I would not trust anyone else with these 2 precious sweethearts Coco and Justine Rufferson.

So grateful for the staff! I struggled trying to find a vet that specializes in tortoises but theses guys are the best. They will make sure your pet is taking care of! Even a day after I left my appointment; I realized I forgot some questions to ask and the vet called me back quickly to answer them. Also the office cat is very cute as well!

My first visit with Summerfields was an emergency because my sweet rabbit Nova was not eating. They got me in that same day even though I was a new client and got her back to normal <3 I am so grateful to them and have been bringing her ever since. She is always so well taken care of and each of my concerns are always talked through. Hope my baby stays healthy, but if not, this is where we will go.

our 10-week-old kitten was having diarrhea from vaccine shots 2 days prior, and we were so worried about her. Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m. we decided home remedies were not working and called for after-hours/ weekend vet services. My husband did a google search and found this wonderful clinic. The staff and Veterinary doctor are so sweet and kind. They took such wonderful care of our baby kitty Dot. I am very pleased with this office and will continue to use them for all my fur babies. Today Sunday, and Dot is running around playing and eating and drinking and not crying out in pain for raw bottom from her tummy sick. I am so glad we took her in because with kittens just like children they can dehydrate easily lead to a grave outcome if you don't act fast. Thank you so much Summerfields Animal Hospital for taking care of our Family Christmas present.

I’ve been taking my boxer here for rehab for years but an emergency came up yesterday when my senior pit rescue passed. Her own vet that saw her didn’t answer their phone and put me on hold. Summerfields helped me. I was in a panic because I came home and my baby was gone. I didn’t know what to do. My other two dogs were upset about the situation and her own vet ignored us which cause more stress in an already stressful situation. I’m extremely grateful you guys helped me with my baby. She was such a good pup. Thank you. I can’t wait to pick her up next week. RIP Belly

Today was tough as we had to let go of 16 year old Tanner, Tan the Man. A very special thank you to the staff at Summerfields for your understanding, compassion and working us in on a busy, booked up Sunday.
Over the years your services have been terrific. Of course we will continue to bring our other two pups in.

This is a fantastic vet that helped prolong my kitty's life with care to treat her chronic kidney disease (she lived another 6 years after diagnosis). The facility is clean and the rooms are private.

It's hard to find a good avian vet that doesn't want to charge you your first born child for a simple visit. Not only was summerfields the most affordable but the vet was experienced and professional and was able to quickly look at floof without additional stress to the animal.

I've been going to Dr. Metzler and her teams for longer than I can remember. I trust them completely with my very important companions and always will. I can't possibly recommend them more.
