Jaquay's Chicken and Waffles

Tried them out today and let me tell you something, I will be a lifelong customer. My wife and I sat outside in perfect weather and had the chicken and waffles. There was a little wait but it was very well worth it! The wings were really, really good. Seasoned very well, and the perfect crispiness. The waffles were good, but the sauce is the magic! And you CANNOT LEAVE THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT TRYING THE FRIED BISCUITS! They come with some of that magic sauce too. You WILL NOT regret trying them - or you may. Because you will want more. Try this place out - you will thank me later.

Cute little spot in an out of the way location. The food is great, but don't expect any meat outside of chicken. The sides are excellent. I would almost kill for those fried biscuits 😋 and the waffles are absolutely to die for. 2 thumbs 👍👍 up

When I was working in the area I stoped in for my first time , I transferred out of the area but I kept thinking about how good the wings are, today I had the excuse out Christmas shopping to find my self In the area for lunch, now I’m just mad that it has taken me this long to get back , I had there special 2 waffles and 10 wings, it turned out to be enough to take home and enjoy later tonight, and I’m going to make a point to go back again for more

As mad as I wanted to be after waiting almost 40 minutes past my scheduled pick up time, I can’t be. Wings were fried perfectly, amazing flavor and the waffle was cakey and moist. Definitely worth the wait

This was my second time eating here, the first time was during COVID and I believe they were just opening. My nephew really enjoyed the chicken and waffles on that visit(he didn't want to share)!!! The second visit I dined in, not a very big place, but perfect for a solo lunch. The owner and the woman taking my order were very friendly and I felt welcomed, like I was at home watching TV and eating lunch! The wings were AMAZING! I enjoyed the lemon pepper, I will definitely have to try the other flavors. The meat was falling off of the bone and not an over powering lemon pepper flavor. Cooked perfectly! The house-made tea is VERY addicting!! I was expecting a regular sweet tea but I was pleasantly surprised it was a flavored tea, peach maybe? I tasted other flavors but couldn't put my finger on it. A perfect addition to my meal! Really enjoyed my visit and meal here. If you're in a hurry order ahead, I don't mind waiting for hot,fresh food! I actually prefer knowing my meal will be hot and fresh but I know not everyone feels the same. Will definitely be back, ready to try more flavors!!
(I did not eat all of this during lunch, reaheted for dinner and still just as good!)

They take a while to get the food when you dine in but it’s delicious. The food is fresh and delicious just fantastic overall you will come back. Wish it had a fountain soda machine and lower the tv volume. Waffle is freshly made just outstanding.

I order here whenever I go to Dickinson. They never disappoint. Flavors are always consistent and that's a plus because a lot of mom and pop shops are consistent when it comes to the flavor of their food but Jaquay's know how to deliver the flavor every time !!

Don't get hooked like I did .... This is a warning lol this is the place to go for authentic flavor !

They are very sweet people and know my face I love that they are personal when it comes to their customers. Especially if they see you as much as they have seen me. 💜💜

Thee best wings in the whole area. Theyre so good they remind me of blue store in Louisiana 🙏🏽 the flavor is great. I haven’t had anything else here yet but will come back!

Came from Galveston to eat here. The drive was worth it they had about an hour til close and let us sit and eat inside. The chicken was good I literally couldn't stop eating it and that drizzle on the waffle ooweee man look please stop if you're in the area you will not be disappointed. Everything is cooked to order so expect a wait but the wait is worth it. Almost forgot order the tea,thank me later!!!!

Went here for the first time today and it was great. A little bit of a wait for the food but worth it. I wish the prices were a little cheaper especially for the sides but it's always nice to support a local black owned business. I will be back with family and friends.

I wish I could give 10 stars!!!!!!! Our first trip to Dickinson and we found Jaquays on google. HANDS DOWN the best chicken and waffles we’ve ever had. PLUS amazing customer service. We will be making another order before we head home at the end of our trip.

I can't say enough great things about the food here. Perfectly cooked wings, the glaze they put in the wings and waffles is to die for, the waffle itself is just perfect. No need for syrup here at all. We dropped by on a Sunday morning whim just wanting to try something new and had one of the best meals we've had in a long time.

Everything IS cooked to order. You will wait for a hot minute to get your food. But it is 100% worth that short wait. You can't rush the art they put in front of you when it's ready.

This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant has an amazing atmosphere. People walk in and the owner knows them by name, taking time to talk with them and ask how they're doing. The owner even stopped by our table a few times to check on us as well.

Go here at least once! This place is worth whatever drive it takes to get here! You'll never find chicken and waffles like this anywhere else!

The wings are delicious. I got the dirty rice also. Both were delicious. I ordered 6 lemon pepper wings combo for $16. The flavor and dirty rice was an extra $2. I think this should be stated on the menu for seasoning and sides upcharge. Other group members had children and waffles. That looked delicious. I think I'll try that dish on my next visit. Great food.

Food is ALWAYS cooked to perfection! Wait times are a bit long as they cook it fresh as you order it. This is my go-to wing spot !

If you're looking for The Best wing & waffles experience this is it. I ain't never had a waffle that the syrup was just an unnecessary after thought. It was so good as is I forgot about syrup. Worth the trip to Dickinson! Get an extra plate for later too! 💚🖤🤘🏽👌🏽👍🏽

Some of the best wings and waffles around! Stopped by after work and was very happy with the food and service received. Takes a while, but it's a tiny family run kitchen and the food is worth the wait. Will return next time I'm in the area! The Lakeil wings are amazing and so are the waffles!

First time going, It's hard to find,but it's worth the effort.Wings plain like somebody who loves you made them.Im Definitely going back period..I was eating the wings so fast until, I forgot to take a picture sorry.

This place is so good you want some good wings and fries cooked actually well done and crispy this is the spot. I haven’t had a chance to try the waffles just yet but I plan on it.

The staff were very friendly and the food!!!! OMG!!! Lemon pepper chicken was to die for the dirty rice wow and the banana pudding delicious. My wife had the waffles and she said we will be back every week.
