Sincerely appreciate the linemen, technicians, supervisors, etc who came to our rescue. Very courteous, respectful and professional. We wish MCEC didn't have so many outages and cheaper rates, but not their fault. We felt as though they cared about our issues and us, the customers. Thanks, again.

It's very rare for us to have an outage, even when I see other companies have them.
One day we'll update windows and old appliances to help with the electric bills, but until then it is what it is!
Thanks for the hard work you guys do to keep everything up and running!

At least the website doesn’t say (we’re here to serve you), because they’re not. Unfortunately, I don’t have a say in who my electric company is. We wouldn’t have bought our house 11yrs ago if we knew our electricity bill was going to be so high, and that we would be charged a “consumer fee”, at the bargain price of $ 45 a month. Not to mention the delivery charge as well. Apparently, MCE coop, never shows a profit, because as a so called “owner “ of shares in said company, I am definitely not showing a profit.

I think they hang the power lines with paper clips. The mere mention of rain and the lights, they flicker. God forbid we get actually get some rain and the power is out for hours. Never seen anything like it. I lived in Belleville at one point in my life, and as much as it sucked, I lost power maybe 3 times in over 10 years. They must use a stronger gorilla tape. Monroe probably still using duck tape.

Electric seems as good as any other provider however $60 bucks in fees is very steep a month.

HIGH FEES: $40 for consumer charger and $20 for distant delivery fee. The fees add up to $720 annually, whoa makes solar not sound so bad.

The company is a co-op so you get any "profits" the company makes based on your consumption of energy. I got a whopping $2.38 for a quarter or maybe 6 months LOL.

Properties serviced with Ameren have much more reasonable rates based on my experience, why is that? I don't care if they have profit sharing I'd rather have better rates.

Pay the highest electric rates. Power goes out service is just always awful. Just today 3 hrs no power still, my family is freezing. They don't care, won't ever give you an update. Take your money but bad service.

This place is a joke. $40 for a meter reading (consumer charge) and I don't even use $40 in electric.....Therefore, over half my bill is just MCEC taking my money. I thought Co-Ops were suppose to help people. Not this one!
