Salt and Honey Bistro and Event Space

Highly recommend. Can’t wait to have a moms meet up here. Wonderful space with options on how you want your coffee break, lunch, or play date to feel. We came for a decaf and oatmeal breakfast and to play in the children’s play area. I was able to have a quiet breakfast to myself while my son played in a low stimulation environment (thank heavens no tv!)! Couldn’t be more excited to have easy access to a perfect morning or afternoon out.

They have plenty of options for coffee and milk alternatives (woo oat milk for my nursing mamas) along with the right amount of options for snacks and meals. I appreciated the toppings available for the oatmeal and the allowance to withhold the additional sugar.

Can’t wait to return to explore more of the menu options!

So glad my bestie lives on the IL side so we got the chance to come and try this new place. We shared the chicken salad on croissant w/chips and the BLT salad. Both items were so delicious perfect amount of dressing and toppings on the salad. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast items. Thank you for the great experience.

My husband and I decided to try out this new Waterloo bistro today for a late lunch and we couldn't have been happier.
The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, the whole staff was amazingly friendly and also gave great suggestions on a drink to try (peach iced tea special) and it was so delicious and perfectly refreshing for this summer day.
My husband got The Ozzy sandwich and it was delicious! I got the pick two with a sandwich and the Salt + Honey spinach salad. The salad was great and even my "not-so green loving husband" said that the spinach salad was one that he would happily order and eat. Everything we had was fresh, delicious, and definitely kept us talking about the food even after we left.
Overall 11/10 for this local bistro. It's a great addition to Waterloo and we will continue to go back again and again to try more of their menu.

Absolutely in love! I have become quite the regular here and it’s no wonder why! Food is amazing, praise Jesus for the gluten free options! The drinks are no joke.. I get an iced chai tea latte with oat milk and caramel. Such a delicious treat. The staff is incredible! Cannot compliment this place enough 🫶🏽

If you are looking for a space to host your next event, look no further! I recently co-catered an event with Salt & Honey, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The venue was STUNNING, with a beautiful layout and perfect ambiance for our client's baby shower. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, and the owner was onsite ensuring that every detail was taken care of from start to finish.

Beautiful venue for my beautiful daughter in law's baby shower. Sarah and staff are top notch. So accommodating and a pleasure to work with. AND they have THE BEST sugar free vanilla lattes with oat milk and cinnamon.

Had lunch there today and from walking in the door everyone was extremely welcoming. The food was delicious and we will certainly be going back. The owner came over to various tables including ours and talked with us. True our granddaughter works there, however this review is an honest one. One of the staff made sure our granddaughter came out to say goodbye when we were ready to leave. If you haven’t been there, make the trip, you won’t be sorry you did.

What a great place for a mom with her kiddos! We go to Waterloo from St. Louis for doctor appointments and came in for a quick lunch. They have a back area for kids to play with a kitchen, books, couches and you can eat while your kids play. Love it!

I absolutely love their coffee. They accommodate my obnoxious latte order with only 1 1/2 pumps of white chocolate and oat milk and it’s perfect. I tried their biscuit breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. I plan on sitting down with family for lunch or breakfast at some point but I really hope they add more breakfast and lunch options in the future.

Salt + Honey is exactly what we were hoping for. The space is gorgeous and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. We expected it to be slow since it was the first Saturday but the staff was quick and courteous. It felt like they'd been there for years. We had the acai bowl, biscuit sandwich, cinnamon role and bagel. It was all phenomenal.

Cutest little Cafe! Everything is adorable. Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful with the menu. I got the town and country tea which was fresh brewed. I also ordered the DaVinci sandwich which tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

We had the DaVinci sandwich cucumber salad and corn shrimp chowder . Everything was fresh, very tasty and great. Service and atmosphere also a plus. We will be back

I love everything about this place. I also love the fact that you can bring your Bible to read. And you can pray before your meals. Didn't feel awkward nor uncomfortable at all. Everyone is friendly. There is an area for children to play too.

Amazing coffee, wonderful food, nicest staff, and very decently priced

First time coming here and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and my latte was perfect! Service was great considering they were very busy during lunch. We will definitely be back!

The food is really good. The ranch was a little bland on the but salad. Maybe it needed more ranch or maybe it needed more seasoning but other than that, it was really good!
