Bonne Terre Mine "The Mine at Bonne Terre"

Very cool place to visit. Very easy to book tickets online. Tour takes about an hour you do have to walk down and up stairs so people with mobility issues just take note. The cave is beautiful and very cool. The tour was informative and the tour guide was very nice. Just wish the boat ride was a bit longer.

Tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. The place is amazing and it's neat to see new mineral formations developing. It's very open and even someone who doesn't like small spaces can most likely enjoy this. The boat ride is especially nice and relaxing. The hour long tour flew by and I could hardly believe how fast it went there was so much to see including a little underground plant garden. It's a must see.

What a great experience! My wife and I took grandkids age 5 and 7 and we all had an amazing time. Our tour guide Shawn was very personable and knowledgeable, and was great with the kids. Incredible history, incredible sights, one our favorite places in Missouri. You should go!

It cost how much!?!??! How can a simple mine tour be worth that much money?

Wow. What was the best part? Possibly the absolute immensity of the cavern? Possibly seeing the floorboards of the houses above were the roof of the mine broke through to the surface?
No, most definitely the pontoon boat ride though an underground lake that would be more at home in the backwoods of Minnesota.

My husband and I took our 3 kids here today. We booked the last tour of the day and despite this, our group wasn’t rushed, the tour guide Levi was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about the mine. It’s very kid and adult oriented and just an amazing all around experience! It was worth every penny.

This was a fun stop, especially on a hot day. The mine was nice and cool of course. Lots of interesting mineral deposits, old mining equipment, and the billion gallon lake. Levi did a great job as our tour guide. Glad we stopped, the size of the mine was amazing.

Our tour guide was awesome,the only complaint I would have is that is went very fast at first and we couldn't hear half the history because we were so mesmerized that we were slower. A good solution would be is a tour mic. But our guide was patient with us lagging behind and answered any questions we had. I wish I would've got his name because he was cool and patient. It was a beautiful tour and a definite must see.even the scuba guys were ok with talking with us. I know we were probably the two more lively guests but the crew were all very kind. We will return.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The parts you walk aren't bad. And the boat tour part was pretty cool. Coming out, there is a bit of an uphill walk. Of course the stairs are easier going down than up. lol Definitely worth the burn 🔥 to me. (I've been through caves, but this was my first mine. They also have diving tours if you're a certified diver.

Levi was a great tour guide. Very interesting place! We went on the last tour time in January and had it all to ourselves which was nice! I will say if you show up and the door is locked to the ticket lobby, they're still on the tour and someone will be up to take you. There was not a note on the door or anything so we didn't know what to do when we showed up for our time slot and the door was locked and no one around.

This men made cave like big underground city where all gnomes lives.I never seen sooo big cave in my life. You must see this cave. Lot of water,very deep ,some places more then 90 feet. I highly recommended. 👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was an incredible experience. Seeing the mines and the lighting treatment they were given was well worth the price of admission. Bruce and Brenton (name may be wrong) were knowledgeable and funny. They made sure that their 'performances' were well suited for all ages. Adults and young kids (6'ish) who were on the tour all enjoyed it. The boat ride tour was well organized. As a science teacher I appreciated all the facts they shared about minerals we saw around us. The boat ride was quite an experience as well, especially considering how the water is over 100ft deep. The entire town sits over the mine!

The woman who ran the gift shop was also friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't see Jeff today. 😉

Fantastic guide. Beautiful inside the mine. The changes humans have made are no matter to nature. Nature will flow. Stunning.

Hadn’t been here since 2014 when I was getting open water certified in scuba, but had been meaning to. Finally got to go back and got to show my wife what I’ve been going on about all these years. Levi led our tour and we had a great experience.

This was the best experience of my life. It was so amazing the tour guide Brenton did an AMAZING job!! He was hilarious and patient with us if we were slow walkers! best tour guide for sure! This was worth every penny!! I highly recommend!!!

Hidden Gem!!!
Amazing place to take a trip into the past. The boat ride was fun and safely was number one priority. Great gift shop. Small place that gets packed quickly so show up early. Unfortunately not for disabled people, I struggled a lot to get around. Free parking.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. I've been to Bonne Terre hundreds of times to see family and I remember when I was young my grandmother took me there but for some reason we didn't do the tour. I finally decided I was going to do it. I was amazed! Our tour guide, a gentleman whose name I cannot remember...started with a B. He was very entertaining and made the tour enjoyable. I enjoyed this far more than Meramec caverns. My daughter had a great time as well and I would highly recommend it! Buy tickets ahead of time because they can get busy. Now I want to learn to scuba dive there. It's on my to-do list!

Went on labor day and omg! This place is a hidden gem 💎 they need alot more advertising because wowzers. We were blown away. In town from kansas city and they did not disappoint. Worth every penny!
