We just moved to GA and are in the process of filling out the home here. We dropped in on this store and were pleasantly surprised - Hamid was very gracious, showed us a dozen or so rugs, though also insisted we’ll have a greater selection when the shipment comes in a month or so (like the other review). Still, we found a runner that we loved and he gave a very fair price. However, when we got it home and rolled it out, it was clearly crooked. He asked us to bring it back, offered us either our cash back, the choice of a new one, or he could try to straighten it. The color and pattern of the rug were perfect for our house, so we opted to try straightening. He called us 5 days later to pick up the rug, and it looks fantastic! We have fairly fine 2” oak flooring in the hall where we put the rug, and both edges of the rug follow the flooring nearly exactly, considering that it’s a hand-knotted rug.

Looking forward to the new container coming in!

I have acquired rugs from Hamid for years. He always has the right rug that I need. I can always count on him for authenticity, quality, and a great price! No need to go anywhere else!

UPDATE to 2 star review: I returned after work to find a much less argumentative (again, always pleasant) Mr. Hamid. He apologized for altering the colors without consulting me, and had actually started re-dying the rug to restore the color to the lost portions. Even so, I did not have faith it could be fully restored to my liking. I took him up on his offer of inspecting his inventory for a replacement. He willingly jumped into action, unrolling rug after rug with the help of his workers. 10 rugs in, I found one I liked. He kept repeating that he will have a large shipment arriving in a month, and I am welcome to come then or bring whichever rug I take and swap it with a different one if I find one I prefer. I still owe him the cleaning fee, but he did not insist on having it on the spot. His priority was my satisfaction.
It would seem that his attitude has made up for his lack of customer service. I have a replacement rug at home now (though it smells and needs cleaning, what a pain), and may return to see the large shipment in a month. Either way, Mr. Hamid understood his error and made efforts to correct it in more than one way. I appreciate his efforts.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I cannot review the quality of rugs in inventory, or the quality of service when purchasing. My experience is solely with cleaning services. I dropped off a rug February 24, and was told that it will be ready in about two weeks (depending on the number of fair weather days). Five weeks later, mostly with fair weather, after no phone call or contact of any kind from the shop, I drove over to retrieve my rug. It was lying in the parking lot next to the shop covered in powdered chemicals to remediate "color bleeding" that occurred during their initial wash of the rug. Keep in mind this rug was an antique, and should not have a bled at all. It is shocking to me that I was not contacted or consulted on the care of the rug when an issue arose.
At that point, Mr. Hamid requested that I allow them to keep the rug to continue to correct the color bleed. I allowed it with the stipulation that I would be contacted with status updates on the rug. Mr. Hamid enthusiastically agreed, and stated the rug will be ready within a few days. He promised to call me with status updates, and to notify me as soon as it was ready. He corrected his phone number for his business on my invoice slip (which had been poorly handwritten and was illegible), and wrote down my phone number again for his records.
It is now April 20, nearly 2 months after I initially dropped off the rug. I never received a phone call from Mr. Hamid. I arrived at his business to find my rug spread in the parking lot with several others, the lovely tan areas and a portion of the red around them bleached white. We first discussed my disappointment in his customer service, with his promises to call with the status of my rug but never calling. He claimed he didn't want to call me until it was ready, but was shortly saying it was ready. Then we talked about the bleaching (he doesn't use bleach, but the color change was similar). I am not okay with someone making an executive decision like color treating or altering my property without consulting me. This was a cleaning service I hired him for, not an alteration service. He argued with me for several minutes, albeit pleasantly, that he was right to alter my rug without consulting me. I left with his promises that the rug would be vacuumed and ready to go in a few hours, or I could have my choice of his inventory of similar rugs.
I have never been so disappointed in a local business.
