Great experience! As an owner of an older dog, and a large animal veterinarian myself, I was beyond impressed with the entire experience!. From the attention prior to our appointment, to the day of Sox's surgery, everyone was friendly, professional and compassionate. The follow up after surgery gave me comfort , knowing they were there if needed. Highly recommend this group.

This team is AMAZING and truly care for the animals. They worked 7 hours after closing time to take care of my dogs needs. That is above and beyond and we are so grateful. They kept us informed and were so caring and kind. Highly recommend!!!!

My bengal cat was viciously attacked by 2 dogs. She was near death when I found her. Her jaw was broken in 2 places and she had broken teeth that had to be pulled. An emergency vet referred us here after another surgeon said he wasn’t confident that he could handle the surgery. They did a flawless job at half of the amount that the emergency vet said they thought it would be and even stayed after hours to preform the surgery last minute! She made a full recovery minus the teeth that she lost!

One of the best experiences I have had with a veterinarian. They did a great job with my senior boston terrier who has a heart condition. They even let me stay up there with him before/after anesthesia so he wouldn’t get nervous. Highly recommend!

My little dachshund got into a fight with my brother-in-law's Rhodesian Ridgeback. Of course MooMoo got the worst of it. We rushed him to this emergency vet clinic at about 11 pm. The they did X-rays and examined him and found that he had a broken mandible, multiple facial fractures, and puncture wounds. He needed surgery, and she explained to me that they were fully booked up for the next day but that they would squeeze him in since we were from out of town. The vet was amazing. She explained everything in detail, she was very patient, and she was very sympathetic. The girl at the front desk was also just as wonderful. The cost was what I would expect from an emergency clinic. They performed surgery the next day, and when we picked him the surgeon explained everything thoroughly, just as the vet did the night before. They saved my little guy's life, and I am so grateful. Plus they treated me with empathy and respect which is what I needed at that time. I would highly recommend this place if you're in need of an emergency vet. I've been to some that haven't been understanding and this nice. Plus, the surgery price was way more reasonable than I expected.

Not long ago our vet recommended teeth cleaning for our 3 year old boxer, Fabio. Since we treat him like a child we decided to take him to a dentist. What a wonderful discovery it was when I called Atlanta Veterinary Dental Service and spoke with Jessica. Not only was she very pleasant but knowledgeable and helpful.

When we arrived at the office Dr. Mees examined Fabio and immediately noticed that he has several extra teeth, also a few bottom teeth missing but assured us that this is a common issue with this breed. I felt extremely confident to leave Fabio in her hands. Although he doesn’t need any additional care I believe that a yearly visit is necessary for him.

When we came to pick him up Jennifer, a veterinary nurse, clearly explained the X-rays and educated us about Fabio’s future mouth hygiene. She even took a photo of him recuperating covered with a plush blue blanket.

A know Fabio will miss them and come for a visit before his next appointment.

My 11yr old Shih Tzu has suffered with a disease called CUPS for years. My own fears delayed his treatment. My only regret is not seeing Dr Mees sooner. My boy needed two procedures and I noticed a ton of improvement after the 1st. He had the 2nd today, and Im 100% positive his quality of life will even be better! He barks now, plays more and is overall the dog he was before getting CUPS. Dr Mees and her team were informative, and patient with me, and took such good care of my furbaby. I highly recommend especially if you have a smaller pet with oral issues. Thank you again!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Atlanta Veterinary Dental Services! I brought my 17.5-year-old Shepherd mix to them for an oral mass. I'm also 8.5 months pregnant and was very concerned about my Whiskey. From the second we walked into the facility, every single person I interacted with was phenomenal. They were kind, empathetic and showed so much compassion. Also, the fact they dealt with me being an emotional mess gives them all the kudo points!
Dr. Mees was amazing, everyone kept me updated while Whiskey had his procedure, and he was given so much love and attention. I cannot thank every single person enough who worked with myself and my husband and of course Whiskey.

Excellent service! My Chihuahua needed a dental cleaning and these ladies took care of business.. "Red Carpet" Experience.. Dr. Bates was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I didn't feel rushed. Vet technician Lauren was so professional and Overall just lovely.. I would like to say Thanks again to the entire staff for taking care of Pepper.. We will definitely return for his dental work.

The Atlanta Veterinary Dental service is the best. They gave my Lucy a new lease on life. They're super caring, even calling to check on her after her procedure. Everyone's knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

I have so many critical family issues going on at the moment, but I had to take time to say I was so impressed with the kindness and immediate care and appointment I was able to receive for my pet when I found out we had an growing tumor to remove urgently in my beloved dog's mouth. I could not have asked for better care.

I was really concerned before my dog's surgery. But they helped me prepare for the things I needed to do, before and after surgery!

They are a smoothly operated business, which means they can take time to tall to you about every step and every consideration. And they listen when you talk about your pet's needs. Thank goodness they did. Because we never would have known how urgent the situation was without their dental knowledge and many years of dental and oral surgery experience.

About a year ago, our cat Tiger Lily, was diagnosed with stomatitis by her regular vet. She went through rounds of meds and had a few teeth pulled, but she still had a lot of inflammation and pain, so we knew she needed a full mouth extraction. We got a quote from a local dental specialist but the price was outrageous. I heard about Atlanta Veterinary Dental Services, so we made an appointment with them for a consultation. We brought Tiger Lily in and ended up scheduling the surgery for a few months after the consultation. They have been amazing every step of the way! Tiger Lily had her surgery 5 weeks ago and just had her follow up and her mouth looks amazing. Dr. Bates did a great job with her teeth extraction and now she has no signs of stomatitis. Even better, the price was half the cost of the other dental specialist. That does not mean that they didn't do as well of a job. I am so happy with our decision to come here, and I will return if she has any further issues with her mouth.

Absolutely wonderful staff willing to go out if their way to help. The wait list is quite lengthy, but they do the consultation AND surgery in the same day. The doctor is fantastic. It is well worth the wait. My little dog had 8 teeth pulled and she is feeling IMMENSELY better. The services are reasonably priced too. Thank AVDS, you are fabulous!

I had a great experience with Dr. Mees. She saved my dog's fractured canine tooth that the vet would have pulled instead. She took a lot of time to talk with me about what would happen, and her staff kept me informed throughout the day.

She pulled some teeth that needed it, cleaned his teeth while he was under anesthesia, and he was fine when they called me to pick him up. The attention they gave before, during, and after the procedure was superb.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mees and her staff. So if your pet has an oral issue, I'd definitely go here first.

If i could give more than 5*'s... i absolutely would! The staff took great care of my K9 partner and explained everything in detail assumes walked me through the whole process. Explained in detail the after care and what to expect. The staff was super friendly and answered all my questions. The establishment was very clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend anyone needing canine dentist work to see Atlanta Veterinary Dental Services for a consult. You won't be disappointed! Thank you for taking great care of my boy.

If one of your four legged family members needs dental care, LOOK NO FURTHER!! We were referred by our regular vet when our sweet boy Morris had some major issues with his teeth. After dental x-ray at the regular vet, what we thought could possibly be a tumor in his jaw, thankfully was not! Turns out the bone destruction that was visible was caused from his severe tooth resorption, something that was quickly identified by Dr. Mee's office. In 24 hours, we went from thinking we may have to make a hard decision about our boy, to knowing it was a treatable condition!
Dr Mee's and her entire staff were all wonderful but Jessica will always be the angel that changed everything for us. She took the time to call me before we had even been in to their office and explained everything and then followed up with a email that provided articles and x-rays so that I could see for myself. This type of patient care / customer service is rarely seen anymore and I am beyond impressed and grateful for the wonderful care they provided for Morris. He had eight teeth removed and a Fistula repair and one week later, he is a new boy! If he could speak, he'd say THANK YOU!!!!

Dr Mees did the finest work in curing our 4yr old Basset Hound Abner of CUPS.
Abner had all of his teeth extracted in 2 sessions.
Anesthesia was no problem.
Anner went home same day and was eating the next day.
I am so thrilled that I received a recommendation to use Dr Mees.

They did a wonderful job with my elderly dachshund who needed the remainder of his teeth pulled. He was seen quickly for an emergency surgery and Dr. Mees, Jessica at the front desk and Jennifer the tech were amazing and so personable, I can't wait for my little guy to start feeling as good as new!

I am a senior veterinary student, who worked with Dr. Mees for 3 weeks on externship. In that time I was able to observe the methods at this practice in great detail. Dr. Mees and company are all very nice and knowledgeable, providing excellent care and education for their clients. I was very lucky to learn from and observe Dr. Mees' skilled and delicate work. She provides excellent anesthetic care for her patients, so that they are not in pain or anxious before or after the procedures. During the procedure and general anesthesia, pets are monitored constantly, and they track every parameter you could want. It is without a doubt the best anesthetic care I've seen in a private practice. Something which, I know, many owners are concerned about. Your pets are in good hands here.
