Animal Wellness Clinic

My daughter had to take her dog in, and the diagnosis was terminal. It was devastating to her, but the folks in the office were fantastic. They walked with her through humanely putting him down and even made him a special treat before the event. They were very caring and made a difficult situation just a little more bearable.

We had a really traumatic night/morning with our dog on Saturday. Without going into details, we needed to get him seen asap later that morning when the vet offices started opening. I called around to several places and either they couldn't fit him in that day or they didn't offer emergency services. I finally found Animal Wellness Clinic and gave them a call, which they immediately ran my situation by their vet, Dr. Willhite. She agreed to see us and I got my boy over there asap. It was really clear right away that he was not okay, and we came to the unfortunate conclusion he had a brain tumor and probable liposarcoma. He was an almost 9 year old Boxer mix, with cancer in his family, unfortunately. It was one of the hardest days I've had to endure in a long time, and all of the staff made themselves available and were full of love and sympathy as I had to say goodbye to my best friend. The dog that lovingly greeted each of our 3 kids when they came home from the hospital, perfect gentleman to all he met, 70lb lap dog, brilliant protector and guardian. I'm sad he won't be here to greet our 4th child home from the hospital, but man, what a legacy this good boy has left. I cannot recommend this clinic enough. I've had a really bad experience losing a lab mix at 14 years old, where the vet and staff were completely disconnected and not a hint of sympathy, it seemed they had only apathy. So to come here and get the worst news and say goodbye to my best friend, I am forever grateful it was with Dr. Willhite and staff. Their kindness and compassion are amazing, their knowledge is vast, and their willingness to work with my family and I on such short notice will forever be something I'm grateful for. Run, don't walk, to this clinic. You won't regret it. When the time comes to add another furry member of the family, I'll be using this clinic for sure. Thank you, Dr. Willhite and team, for your phenomenal care and kindness.

He is a great doctor. He is very warm and available! Which was a big thing for me. He is great and I understand how he has made it 40 yrs in this business. I found a home for my kitten. I trust his knowledge! Yoshi is a happy kitty!

After almost 2 years of being ignored and dismissed by our old veterinarian, we decided to take our Great Pyrenees to Animal Wellness Clinic in Milton for a second opinion. Dr. Willhite walked in the room, looked at Yeti (my Pyr) and within LITERALLY 10 seconds made a preliminary diagnosis that she had Cushing's Disease, based on Yeti's posture and skin coloration. Dr. W ordered some tests and confirmed the diagnosis. She prescribed a course of treatment and the difference is night and day. Yeti also had a large tumor on her side that our old veterinarian was completely dismissive of. Dr. W removed the tumor and Yeti's breathing returned back to normal and it is obvious that she is feeling better. The incision scar in the photo below will give you an idea how large this tumor that we were repeatedly told was "no big deal" by our old vet was. Dr. W's knowledge and professionalism is absolutely top notch. After months or being dismissed by our old, incompetent vet, I am so thankful that we decided to trust our pets' care to Animal Wellness Clinic. The support staff at the clinic are always friendly and professional. The facility is spotlessly clean and has a nice walking area where your pet can get in some exercise and heed nature's call before or after visits. I could not be happier with Animal Wellness Clinic and recommend them without reservation.

What an awesome group of thoughtful caregivers! They went out of their way to keep us informed throughout the process and made sure both Bella and I were comfortable. Plus the facility is new and beautiful, too! We’ve definitely found our new family vet.

We have been going to The Animal Wellness Clinic for more than 2 years now & Dr Willhite & her staff are awesome! She absolutely adores our 2 Labradors. She is very knowledgeable, loving & caring. She takes lots of time with all her patients. We are very very happy with our veterinarian!

Dr. Bonny is the only vet we have ever and will ever see! She's the sweetest person ever and absolutely adores each of her patients. She's very knowledgeable and takes lots of time with each appointment to answer all of your questions. She's also very good about seeing you last minute if your pet is having an issue. The techs and receptionists are just as great... they even call the day after your appointment to check on your pet. My dog gets anxious going to the vet, but she loves seeing her favorite people there! They make the experience as comfortable as possible for her.

This is the only place that we will take our 8 year old dog. Dr. Wilhite is fantastic, and her staff, who have been with her for years, are great. I highly recommend Animal Wellness Clinic.

I had the pleasure of shadowing here and was very impressed by everyone’s genuine care, knowledge and attention. The veterinarians, the vet techs, the assistants and the front desk staff all work very hard and genuinely love animals. This is a place you can definitely trust with your pet’s health.

Dr. Willhite and her team are the absolute best. We have 3 dogs ( small, med, large and different breeds) and all have been patients of hers for at least 3 years. She is so knowledgeable and does great patient teaching. She does everything she can to control patient costs, while never compromising care. We love the Animal Wellness Center. It is immaculately clean, fun for the pets and has the most compassionate staff.

My French Bulldog, Bear, (11 months and 19 days old) had the best experience! He did not want to leave.

We found Animal Wellness after being unhappy with the way our previous vet was handling our appointments during the beginning of the pandemic. I’ve never been more satisfied with any vet. We love all three of the doctors and they have handled any situation we’ve come to them with from our new frenchie puppy to a backyard feral cat with a severe infection. They are kind, compassionate and very professional and we can tell they truly love animals and want to provide the best care possible. Great added bonus that they have weekend hours! We highly recommend this vet practice and will continue to bring our pets here as long as they are around.

Great Vet and staff at thus location. Genuinely listen to concerns and the Vet herself called to follow up with us a few days later to see how our dog was doing! Not the typical chaotic Vet experience we had at other places and the nicest looking Vet building I've ever seen.

Recently moved here from out of state and very happy we chose AWC! Dr. Ford and assistants and techs are so great with my dog as we are working on getting her acclimated to Georgia. My dog is 7 and I feel that this is the first vet we have visited that has taken the time to address her health issues and we have made major progress in the last few months. Thank you AWC!

We had to say goodbye to our 15 year old fur baby that Dr. Willhite and Andrew have cared for since she was a pup. I am very grateful for the compassionate and loving care that Dr. Willhite, Dr. Ford, Sarah, Jenni, Andrew, Loise, Michel, and many others showed our fur baby and me. We all cried during the last moments and know our pup is peacefully resting.

I am truly thankful and blessed to have such amazing care for our fur babies.

I will never forget the care and compassion they showed when my cat suddenly passed away. It was an emergency situation and they took in her immediately and put her in a coffin for us, all with no charge. I'll always be thankful to the staff at AWC.
