Very nice, gives of a B&B vibe. We were there on a Monday night so it was very quiet. Lot of peacocks, Ginny hens & very friendly cats running around. They also had tons of other birds in large cages. The staff could not have been Nicer & room was very clean and comfy. Will definitely be going back to experience their wonderful restaurant.

I stayed at the RV park, and had dinner. Fine park, looks new! Great price. Liz at the front desk got me checked in, Ashley was my server at the bar. Amazing friendly service all around, great food, and probably the best bread pudding ever. Great atmosphere.. strolls, birds, fountain... definitely a reoccurring stop!

The owner Beverly and crew are excellent. We flew into KCTY after dark and they came and got us. Her lodge is gorgeous and they’ve made it a truly special place to stay.

Thank you again. We will be back!

Came in to this historic lodge for dinner on my birthday. What an EXCELLENT choice! Can't believe we waited over a year to stop in. I had the calamari for an app. And the 6oz filet with shrimp(surf n turf), wife got fried clams for an app with the alfredo with chicken main dish. Everything was prepared exactly how we like it perfectly. Loved the atmosphere, and the staff was the best. It has been an exceptionally long time since we have had an experience this good. I HIGHLY recommend you stop here for a campsite, room, drinks and / or dinner.

Putnam Lodge is a little hidden jem. A place where time or technology hasn’t affected it. A place where time has stood still, where you feel like family no matter where you’re from. Florida folks taking care of each other, where everyone knows each other. This little bed & breakfast is set back in time and the historic nostalgia is like no other. The room is quaint, don’t expect the ritz but this is so much better. The owners are amazing specially Bev. She’s the sweetest! The food is amazing and Jennifer & Jamie make you feel right at home. Jamie’s drinks are awesome (you have to try them, I want to bottle her energy). If you’re traveling alone like I was, this place makes you feel safe! The property is cute with cats and peacocks running around. A real “home town feel.” You stay there and even though the boards on the floor creeks, it makes you feel like you’re walking through a part of history. It can use some small updates but overall a great safe place for all. The food is amazing and their bread side is the holy grail! I’ve eaten at many places and this, hands down has been the best. The steaks are tender, the atmosphere is amazing, you can’t help to want to stay longer. Two nights don’t do it justice. I only booked for one night. My first time being here and didn’t know the area & wasn’t sure what to expect. Jamie was sweet enough to ask if my room was available for the next day. I’m grateful it was, best decision I made. Book this place & you won’t regret it! ❤ I’ll be coming back ☺

Go here!!! Ya can't miss out on this hidden gem of America's history. And Nancy has the greatest stories to keep you up to ears in amazement!!! Walk the grounds if ya can't stay long. It's such a great place to find yourself.

I came here for the restaurant, and this was the best food I've had in Florida.

The staff was friendly and passionate about the hotel. The front desk clerk gladly gave us a quick tour and run down of the history and little details about the way it was built.
I could tell she really loved working there.
They have a beautiful garden with an aviary and adorable cats walking around.

I feel it's super important for people to know how amazing this historic hotel is, and more people should visit and stay.

It felt like Old Florida and I'm so happy I got to experience it.

This place is simply amazing go there Thursday Friday or Saturday. The steak or Prwn shrimp were amazing. The attention to detail as soon as you open the front door will take you back to the early 1900 hundreds. Will be back again to recharge and enjoy this amazing again soon ❤ 💖

Has a BEAUTIFUL landscape with a lengthy stand of very healthy bamboo, a crystal clear fountain, peacocks running around and\or grazing and a booming restaurant; plus an uber classy trailer park with laundry facilities.

Stayed here on a motorcycle tour. Lovely 25 room hotel set up like a country estate, peacocks roaming, pet cats, singing birds, beautiful water fountain. Very relaxing! Bed was perfectly comfy. Very clean rooms & property! Very affordable! Built in 1927 as a hotel but all the updated features, central air, cable TV, updated bathrooms, plenty of hot water, fridge, ice, coffee, shampoo, soap and a ton of the softest towels! Highly recommend!

I had lunch with a group. I had the 1927 salad which was delicious. And the carrot cake, which was good. There was a bit of a delay with desert, but it had gotten busy. I would absolutely go again! I didn't overnight there. I went for lunch, saw the wedding/banquet room and went to the backyard and saw a peacock.

We were driving by and noticed this just in time to turn around and catch dinner last night. What a treat! Our waitress was a nice young lady named Ashlyn who helped us with our choices as well as guided us to explore the property while we waited for our food. The rolls with oil and balsamic were worth the stop! My wife had the redfish and I had grouper piccata and we both enjoyed it. Neat place with lots of history (don’t skip the men’s room lol)

Ed and Beverly have transformed this hotel into a elegant and comfortable showcase. I loved it. - Update: Jan 2024 - They have kept at it with many new changes. Stayed the night with family and had dinner and drinks in the restaurant. Still a favorite - thanks guys - see you next time.

Historical building. Absolutely great food. If you're in this area of the state this is a real treasure to find. A fine dining experience. Fair priced. At times there's a piano player / singer well dinner's being served. Call ahead there's certain days they're closed. We will always return and this is where we go when family from out of town visit. Well you could walk in wearing camouflage, you could also walk in suit and tie. Either way being fine. Homemade deserts. Bar... Look it up on the web. Enjoy

Great stay. Had a wonderful time. Well done and friendly. Best in the area. The restaurant was honestly some of the best food I had! Way better than expected. A great stop on way out of Steinhatchee.

This was a repeat stay for a few days; having stayed for a week last June. I love just love the historic charm of the rooms, lobby, dining room and indoor veranda; while the bathrooms are updated. Stayed to take advantage of dinner in the dining room Thursday through Saturday evening; nice menu, good food and service.

The Putman Lodge is a hard place to leave. We happened on it on our way home and can’t wait to return. At any moment I expected Zelda to come waltzing out on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s arm. A walk back in time. The hosts, Bev and Ed, were so welcoming and informative . The rooms are charming, comfortable, and immaculate. I spent a lot of time in a small library. I also have my room picked out for our next visit. In the morning we went outside to find an amazing backyard with peacocks and guineas. We loved our experience! Next time we will arrange to be there when their award winning steakhouse is open!

The lodge is very interesting with beautiful original decor and antiques (Pecky Cypress wood). My room was upstairs and older with TV. Bathroom is old style. Restaurant is very nice with good food. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a family event there and it was great!. If you like Old Florida sites, it's one for your list.
