Great store with some fascinating finds! Very reasonable prices and super friendly as well! On my first visit, I was able to pick up an album I thought I'd never be able to find, let alone afford. Great place for a new find or quest object, and I'll definitely be stopping by again!

So far my favorite record store in FL, I collect a lot of underground hard rock/metal and they have a huge selection of smaller label bands, which as a musician is very nice to see. I don't mind the genres mixed together, there are many hidden gems here. Looking forward to going back.

Amazing selection of records. Found two very rare pieces I was super stoked to add to my collection, but the owner was the complete stereotype of typical gatekeeping vinyl snob record store owners. It almost felt like I was in a movie. Since I was only passing through I asked him if there were any other record stores in town worth checking out and he said "I don't think so" and then in response to his selection he said "we do things differently here" didn't seem very different from any other store I've been in. very standoffish and weird pretentiousness for a record store. Either way, the record selection was amazing and I would shop here again any time.

This isn't a bash and im still leaving a 5 star review, it's just weird to see a record store not being supportive of the rest of their community. I would absolutely shop here again despite that interaction.

Lots of records, many prices. I bought an album form the Beatles for my dad, that I wish I would’ve checked before I bought it, and I would’ve appreciated if the employee, (which I have no complaints about) would’ve told me it was an interview from Washington DC from 1960 or so.
Great place, I’ll visit again.

Cool store with a nice cross selection of all things extreme! Black Metal, Grind, Punk, with all the other genres sprinkled in! My favorite record store in the Tampa area.

At first I didn’t know what to make of this place and didn’t think I was gonna find Anything I wanted. I ended up browsing through the store as it’s not too big but they do have a good amount of stuff. More metal genre but I did actually find a good amount of things. It’s very clean and organized. Good pricing but could be a bit better. It does have some variety but it is more leaning towards the rock/metal type arena. It’s not your pop mainstream type place but I’m glad I went and checked it out. I would return.

Just like everyone else says, the owner is super friendly and helpful - moreso than some other local record shops. Great vibe. Equally cool and awesome shops right next door. Selection is really good and ever-changing.
The bargain bin selection is always huge and I've never had a record skip even from the bargain bin. Every once in a while, there's even a small pile of free records he apparently feels he couldn't charge for in good conscience -- I've gotten 2 or 3 really great finds for free (I am not a collector and don't mind surface noise).

I’ve known Kenny for quite a while now and he runs an amazing store. Every time I go there, I always walk out with something, he has everything under the sun. From the darkest metal to hip-hop, to dub style reggae, to soundtracks, to country. He does a good job at making sure he has everything covered. I couldn’t recommend the store enough. Definitely worth your time. Support local businesses and support Steelworker Records!

Best record store I've been to, hands down and the staff know their stuff. If you are looking for something, ask 'em, they will locate and you will pay a fair price.

THE best record store in the state ♡

Steelworker is an absolute gem in the Tampa area for people who absolutely love music and need vinyl in their lives for legitimately the best prices around . Seriously people, record stores like THIS? Appreciate it while it is around!!!

Steelworker is easily the most interesting and potent record store in Florida. You will not find another record store in the entire state that consistently holds as wide a variety of music consisting of everything from extreme metal, country, post-punk, experimental music of all kinds, jazz of kinds, reggae, hip-hop, grind-core, folk, industrial, electronic, noise, punk, hard rock, progressive rock, soundtracks, and almost everything else under the sun. Seriously.

If you're passionate about exploring music and collecting vinyl, you owe it to yourself to visit Steelworker's storefront or shop on their website! They ship!
You will find so much stuff you never knew existed and learn about so much new stuff. Hell, even as you flip through the records you're bound to hear and see quality content being projected on the wall.

Basically, you will find so much music here that you won't find anywhere else in the entire state. I'm consistently blown away with the amount of rare and obscure finds I bump into every time I go in.
The owner of the store curates the store himself and absolutely is the reason the place is so great to visit.

♡ much ♡ love ♡ to Kenny and his incredible record store ~ ~

If variety is the spice of life, Steelworker Records is as spicy as they come. High quality selection of punk, hardcore, black metal, death metal, noise, experimental, hip hop, oi!, reggae, world music, country music and more. Rare records at realistic prices, and iconic music videos always playing on the wall.

Especially now, there are few record stores that have something for everyone - but this one does. The owner can recommend just about any band based off of your existing tastes, plus introduce you to new music. If "Tampa" and "records" ever cross your mind, Steelworker is the number one stop, period.

The best record store in the Tampa Bay area! This place is such a gem - prices are fair (for both buying and selling), there is a wide selection in a variety of different genres, and the owner is extremely knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit for any of your audiophile needs!

Best record store in Tampa if you are into hardcore, punk, metal, etc. Kenny runs this store as if you were family. Nice guy, great with recommendations, and incredibly fair pricing. Just picked up an original Cro-Mags record from him a little while back. He’s got the classics, rare records, and more. Back our local hometown hero!

Probably the best selection of non mainstream records in Tampa bay. We don’t find something to buy every time, but we always enjoy our visits to this store. A lot of stock for a small shop and there are always cool music dvds
Playing on the projector in the back of the store. Friendly owner.

Steelworker is without a doubt the best record store in the entirety of Tampa/ St. Pete / Clearwater. Massive selection of records, including some hard to find items, with something for a fan of any genre.

The stores owner is incredibly nice and is a treasure trove of knowledge. Any serious collector or casual listener should shop here.

First, it's a relatively small record shop, but that doesn't matter because the owner is very knowledgeable and the selection of music in the store is plentiful. Anything the owner can do to help, whether that's searching for a certain artist, to recommending new music, he happily does. Overall I had a great experience and left with a few new bands to look up!

Best record store in the Tampa Bay area. No fat in their record selection. Perfectly curated and quite vast. Awesome metal, experimental, jazz and cold wave selections and many rarities and obscure releases. Every time i go there i realize i know nothing about music. Nothing. A must for the true music nerd.

Best record store in town. Unlike other music stores where the guy behind the counter is usually some condescending hipster, the owner is very knowledgeable about obscure music and always helpful with suggestions. Every time I visit I discover some new band I'd never heard before. Highly recommended.
