Sahara Restaurant

Fareed and his wife run a very good restaurant with authentic Lebanese food. I have had most all of the dishes and appetizers on the menu. Plus I have explored many of the wines and beers. They have several good choices for vegetarians along with traditional dishes with meat. The service is good and not rushed. They sometimes have music on the weekends. This is a favorite restaurant of ours.

Such a great place! Very friendly! Service is excellent 10/10, it is a MUST to try their hummus with their beef stuffed pita bread! Absolutely delicious. This dish deserves more than 5 stars!

I attended a meeting held there early evening by the Center for Non-violent Solutions. All I had was respectful & considerate service, and some tasty appetizers. As a long time hummus and taboli maker, this place provides great tasting options!

Excellent, excellent food and excellent, excellent service! Called ahead to ask if they had a table for one with an outlet for a working dinner, they were happy to accommodate, they start off with complimentary pita and olive oil/zaatar dip, the menu has a great selection, couldn't make up my mind what to order! (Plenty of vegetarian options for those wondering). Ended up getting the samke harra (fish with tahini sauce over rice pilaf with grilled vegetables) and the garden salad, and everything was cooked to absolute perfection, seasoned absolutely perfectly, the vinaigrette on the salad, the seasoning and done-ness of the vegetables, the fish was perfectly cooked through but still tender and juicy, the rice pilaf is one of the best I've had, buttery and perfectly cooked. The waiter was super friendly, and super attentive without being overbearing, anticipated everything I needed, kept water filled, tea hot, etc. Honestly can't recommend this place enough, I have Lebanese in-laws and have eaten my fair share of Lebanese food, home cooked and in restaurants, and this is definitely one of the best I've been to, if not the best. The ambiance too is perfect for date night, very chic, slightly eccentric music but not too loud, bathroom could definitely use updating but was absolutely spotlessly clean. And there's parking in the back to boot, which can often make the difference for me as I hate street parking. Just go there already, you won't regret!

This place is part of the magic in the beating heart of Worcester. During lunch hours they serve fantastic Middle Eastern fare but at night the place comes alive. Especially on Saturdays! Live music and great atmosphere make this spot a must for anyone looking to spice up their dinner plans or nightlife.

Food is consistently good, a fair price and parking on street or in a small lot. Serves alcohol and is very good at accomodating gluten allergies. Also has a few vegan options and several vegetarian ones. Open for lunch, even in summer.

Outstanding flavors! Had eggplant with sauteed veggies on a bed of rice. Yum! Lebanese and Greek dishes. Service was friendly and fast! Would love to come back!

Went to see live music here. I didn't try the food but it looked delicious. The wine selection is fantastic though and they have delicious desserts.

Overall, I would go here again, but I would check that my to-go bag contained all that it was supposed to. The person I was with who paid for the entrees didn't care that the chicken dish wasn't included, so I also can't speak to how the staff or management would have negotiated the missing object, or whether the wait staff wrote it down.

Also a pleasant and enviting experience. Great food and wonderful service. The owners are very pleasant people and I've never had a bad time at their restaurant.

Great food, but be prepared to wait a little while. This is not the place to go for a quick bite to eat. Stay instead for a long lunch with Kafta in Pita, Stuffed Cabbage Leaves, and a gladd of Lebanese wine.

I am an avid fan of middle eastern cuisine. I've yet to find a better place than this...the food, the atmosphere are top notch. The Hummus bil lahem, kafta, and sambusek are made to perfection. Great coffee!!!!!!!!

Sahara was very accommodating to my boyfriends gluten allergy. They made up a special dish to ensure he could enjoy with no gluten. The pesto gorgonzola with salmon and extra vegis was amazing ! 😋 The Baba is my favorite and gluten free as well!

The food was great. If you are looking for a new place to go to, this is the place. The service was very attentive. You will come back.

I only go here for drinks occasionally. It's always quiet and I've never tried the food but the service is great.

Food was to die for and the service was excellent! Kayla was wonderful! The stuffed cabbage was my favorite!! I will be going back soon!
