In Clifton forge for a safety inspection and stumbled on to this place. Wonderful environment very clean and the staff was on point. I got the clam chowder and turkey sandwich and my husband got the pastrami sandwich, the meal is priced reasonable and considering you get a drink with it and chips makes it a good deal. We also had an amazing cheesecake with chocolate crust and chocolate cheese topping!
My meal was delicious and so was my husband's. Good job and God bless you guys.

Best sandwiches this side of the Mississippi. No but seriously, best sandwiches by far in the area and within at least 100 miles. First, restaurant is always spotless, staff is friendly and accommodating, owner is super friendly and wants the best product for the customer truly and you don't find that often, excellent selection of sandwiches and ingredients are high quality. Keep up the good work and you should definitely try the iltalian and the farmhouse chicken sandwiches, my favorites. Highly recommended.

We pop into 42 Deli whenever we come through town, and every meal we’ve tried has been delicious. My girls love their kids meals, and ALWAYS finish their lunches. Their cold cuts are great, the hot subs are yummy, and the taco salad special today was huge and delicious. On top of a great meal, the staff is courteous and helpful, and the restaurant is always super clean. 5 stars every day!

Excellent deli. Stopped for lunch when we were camping at Douthat. The sandwiches were very well made and generously sized. Had the turkey club and tuna salad. Also some macaroni salad. All very good. Super friendly staff. Very clean. Highly recommended.

Best sandwich spot I’ve ever eaten at. Italian sub is to die for and the coleslaw is amazing. The customer service is a 10/10!

What an absolute GEM is 42Deli! The food is delicious, and a good value. I am very impressed by how spotless this place is, front to back, top to bottom. The staff is so pleasant and friendly, and we enjoyed the local regulars greeting each other and enjoying meals together. Do yourself a favor: skip the fast food places and have a great meal here - it’s “fast enough” food, and tastes much better! Happy 7th Birthday to 42Deli - we’ll be back!

I love stopping at 42 Deli when I’m in Clifton Forge. They have the best turkey club I’ve ever had and the staff are so friendly!

Great place. I enjoyed their special which was a French Dip. Took the Italian home to hubby (3 hours away). It traveled well & was delicious.
Staff was so friendly & energetic. The location was appealing, clean & very bright. Excellent deli to stop on my travels!
