Bugsy's Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar

Went to Alexandria on a weekend with my friends and found this gem of a place. The ambience outside was just amazing because of the weather and the crowd. Both Deep Dish And the thin pizza were well cooked. We were all vegetarian and tried veggie dishes and the food was really great. Even the waiter was very good and guided us well as to what to try. Will definitely recommend this.

Great spot in Old Town, able to sit out with some glimpses of the water. Deep dish pizza is absolutely worth every cent. Order a small and that was almost too much food me.

Amazing Pizza! We were there with a group of 26 people, and I know they were expecting us, but the pizza was ready fast and delicious. I had slices of the vegetable pizza and also the spinach pizza, which was my favorite. Others in the group had cheese and pepperoni pizzas. The pizza crust is thick but not bland. They offered a salad bar which was pretty basic, but everything was fresh. When we asked one of our waiters about the history of the restaurant, he took time to tell us the background of it, which was interesting.

It is hard to beat the combination of location, atmosphere, and great food. Beautiful old building, a big step above most sports bars. The clam chowder and pizza were both excellent, and a good value for the money. Great service. Love it.

I think I ate here for the first time in 1980s and it has not changed much, other than the amazing outdoor seating. It’s good solid pizza and reasonably priced. I prefer the thinner crust pizza versus the deep dish because the deep dish isn’t like a true Chicago style, but if they added a little olive oil and fried the dough, it would be amazing. The staff is friendly and professional, and you cannot beat the location.

Superb pizza! The deep dish was delicious! Our waiter was quick and the ambience was nice. It was a little hot inside, like there was no AC.

It was so good I forgot to take a picture before writing this review. Guess I have to go back again. Thin crust was cooked to perfection. House salad was fresh and delicious with homemade ranch to top it off. One of the best pizzas in the DMV.

Quick stop to grab some pizza on a hot summer day. May not be best food for the season but haven't had pizza in a while and this really was worth the wait. Its located in a large spot filled with other various food options and near the harbor. Great amount of seating, friendly staff, and good food here.

We came over on a river cruise from Georgetown and wanted somewhere laid-back for lunch and a drink. I got a make-your-own deep dish pizza, and WOW did it exceed my expectations! It was so full of flavor. The four-slice deep dish was considered a size small and easily fed two of us. Our server was very friendly, too!

Sorry I missed them on this trip. They had a furnace fire on 3-19. Not much damage but closed as a precaution. I heard sooooo many good things about Bugsy's.

One of the best Deep Dish Pizza in the area. Good selection of beers and drinks! Second floor bar is a good place to watch games and sports. Moved to Maryland and still come to Bugsy's during game time! Excellent even if you have little kids, everyone is welcome whether is at the bar in the second floor or the dining room in the first floor! Definitely recommend for you to give it a try!

Buggy’s deserves 5 stars for the excellent, unique pizza they serve. We sat upstairs in the Hockey themed dining area which was quite cozy and not terribly roomy but we made it work. Our server was very good and even went beyond by noticing my table had a wobble and bringing a wedge to fix the issue. Our large pizza for two was enough to feed us for two more meals and well worth the few extra dollars over a medium size. If you love pizza, you have got to try Bugsy’s. Ours had the white sauce and while I typically do not prefer it, I would order it again.

Great place to have lunch if you are visiting Alexandria. The staff is super nice and they have place to have a seat outside. The view of the street is very nice.

We've been here several times, and the food and atmosphere are amazing! The service is hit and miss. The kitchen staff and the greeters are consistently awesome-and yes, the chefs do visit the tables from time to time. The waitstaff, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired. That being said, all the other bell ringing attributes are enough to carry the waitstaff and still give Bugsy's a five-star rating. All things considered, they are one of the best pizza places in NOVA.

Overall, the pizza was great, and the atmosphere was nice. Reasonably priced food. Very lively location on King Street with other eateries and shops to choose from.

Salad bar is simple and good. The pizza buffet has delicious options. The toppings are fresh, the crusts are pan and thin, the sauce is flavored nicely. Decor is rustic, a couple of televisions for sports entertainment, upstairs sports area as well. Best pizza buffet we have ever had.

We went to Bugsy's a few days ago. The food was great, the whole family loved it. They also gave my dog water before we asked :)

For what we ordered, the size was pretty big, my kid had challenge finishing that burger LOL

We dined outside, which was a bit chilly. I wish they had something similar to the neighboring restaurants to shield the customers from the wind.

We ate lunch outside. The weather was great. Relaxed atmosphere. The food and wine were very good and reasonably priced. What more do you want?

Best experience ever, the food was amazing especially the chicken wings & pizza. When they say happy hour. It's really happy hour, drink were on point. Our server was very attentive to our needs and when she was not available there was a guy who stepped right in. Had an amazing time. Thank you.
