Dad's Bar & Steakhouse

Very friendly staff, amazing food (try the salmon). Live music most weekends. Dance floor. Large bar area with food service. Restaraunt in the back. Good salad bar too. Info for touring bands: the bar currently has an apartment upstairs with 2br/ba and a kitchen for bands to stay in.

We went with a group of friends for a nice dinner and were very impressed. The view of the mountains from the back dining area was beautiful. The service was very efficient and fast. The food was incredible. My steak was so tender I could almost cut it with my fork. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Thayne WY!

The staff is hospitable, prompt, and personable. The prime rib of excellent as is the chicken. Portions are enough to take home and enjoy again the following day, and the salad bar is ftesh.

We went on a Tuesday when they only had their “bar menu” available. Their bar menu was amazing!! Prime rib sandwich, country fried steak bites was delicious, breaded popcorn shrimp! The waitress was so attentive and the atmosphere friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!

First time eating here and we are more than thrilled. Travis behind the bar was spectacular. The prime rib we ordered was some of the best I’ve had. My wife and I are very pleased with the service, atmosphere with the live music, and highly recommend!

Absolutely had a great time! We went there for a prime rib dinner for our anniversary and the meat was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were a delight, the potatoes were delicious and we had a trip to the salad bar included! We'll always go back!

First time in, the service and food were amazing. We had the stuffed bell pepper soup, a filet and prime rib. It was all 5 star food. I will come out from California just to eat at Dads steak house. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

I've never had a bad meal or bad time at Dad's. We get to Thayne every three or four years. We make certain to get a meal at Dad's. I always get the prime rib even though I swear I'll try something else. Definitely make the time to eat at Dad's.

Excellent Choice. Wow what a steak! Ordered a ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection and comes with an amazing fresh salad bar (in an adorable covered wagon), the blue cheese dressing has chunks of cheese in it! Vegetables, potato/rice and rolls with tasty cinnamon butter rounded out our special night. Special shout out to Michelle. She provided attentive service and made us feel special.

Great place to eat. Staff was super friendly. Food was awesome! Filet, ribeye, shrimp, it was all good. Listened to some live music and had a great time. We'll go back!

I consider Dad's to be the best place to eat in all of Star Valley. The food is always a hit, and the staff are wonderful. If you are looking for a nice night out, I highly recommend you give Dad's a visit!

Great food and great service at good prices. Recently redecorated with nice full bar in the front, stage and tables towards the rear and dining room behind the stage. Steak was cooked as ordered (rare). Seafood includes scallops, salmon and halibut all excellent. Decent salad bar has returned. Parking in the rear or on the street. Place looks like a dirty old cowboy bar from the street but you must go!

Phenomenal dinner tonight at Dad's. Prime rib to die for. I had the Halibut steak and it was a very large thick serving and it was amazing. We were having a celebration dinner so went all out and had desert. Cheesecake with Carmel and raspberry sauce was so good. They have music and dancing and a beautiful bar. Prices are really good. I can't eat like this in Portland Oregon for the same price and it would be half the sizes. Don't pass it by or It will be your loss.

Everything came out perfect and very tasty. The price wasn't bad for the quality and quantity. Everyone went home full.

The bartender was very friendly and happy to wait on us, shook my hand as we walked out. I would visit again for sure.
