Mr. Wok Restaurant

I've lived in Gahanna all my life. I've been coming to this establishment since I was 4 (30 years). It has been consistent, a go-to comfort food and an easy choice when I have no time to fend for myself. The staff is always kind and helpful and I have never received a disappointing meal. As long as the building stands, I'll keep coming, and so should you ^_^

I’m from Florida so I’ve been shopping around the Gahanna area looking for a great quality Chinese restaurant to consistently eat at. The food here is amazing!! I got vegetable lo mein & a vegetable egg roll. The lo mein was really good not dry & sticky (overcooked) like a lot of the other places around here. The vegetables in the egg roll were fresh inside the crunchy egg roll, the portion sizes are awesome also! I found a place I really liked right around the corner from my house but they’re extremely stingy and give you the smallest portions. This is my new go to, I won’t be shopping around anymore. The food is amazing, the portion size to cost ratio is fair & that’s something I haven’t seen with any of the other Chinese restaurants around Gahanna.

This is my go to fast Chinese takeout. We order from here about 2x a month. I've been limiting the meat in my diet and appreciate that they do especially well with stir fry vegetables. My partner gets the chicken and broccoli without fail. The broccoli always has the perfect amount of crunch. I rotate the ma po tofu, spicy basil shrimp and shrimp yaki udon. They're always delicious. The fry on the egg rolls can be inconsistent, but it doesn't stop us from ordering them. Their egg drop soup is also great with plentiful egg.

I just discovered this place today and will absolutely be back. Amazing prices, especially lunch special. I got the Kung pao chicken (spicy) and beef with broccoli plus a Thai tea. The Thai tea was gigantic and such a good deal. I will definitely be back. It was so good. I ate half for lunch and half for dinner and it was even better the second time. My only regret is that I didn't try the egg drop soup!

Omg!!! Best Chinese food that I have had in my 43 years on earth!! I had the spare ribs, pork fried rice, with a side of chicken wings. I wish that I lived here in Ohio. I would make this place a weekly visit!!! The service was fast and courteous as well. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for some good Chinese food!!

Order was fast for carry out and the food was great. First time getting dinner there, but will return. Also, they have the restaurant setup like a hospital with barriers marked for safety. Thank you Mr. WOK. I even said thank you in Chinese and she said, "you're welcome" without ripping on how bad my Chinese is.

Great place I called and made and order and had it don’t fast and efficient and food was great and people there are amazing

From the outside, it can be hard to know which Chinese spots are worth checking out. This is one of them. Some of the better teriyaki chicken for a quick Chinese stop.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Gahanna, friendly staff and tasty food. General tso’s chicken is so delicious 😋 yummy

First time trying sushi from this restaurant. The taste is amazing. The service is also very good. Highly recommended.

the place is a wreck but I do enjoy the dumplings. It's the only item I've ordered. Looks like they are renovating the back room, I'm not there for the atmosphere so it made no importance to me

Happened upon the establishment because it was the closest one, definitely deserves every bit of five stars and more as I am from out of town and live an hour and a half away. This place surpasses any Chinese restaurant where I live. A must try if you have not experienced it yet. Excellent, excellent, excellent food as well as excellent customer service!!

Food is fresh and some of the best tasting Asian food in Columbus. Prices are reasonable, and service is fast. Have been getting dinner from here for over 15 years and it does nothing but get even better. This is not a romantic dining venue, it is a fantastic take out.

I got delivery and it was great I got the moo shu chicken and sweet tea. Definitely ordering again. Portion size great as well.

insane food. workers are friendly as well. My favorite part is eating the insane food while getting an amazing fortune cookie. I love it when the workers complement me on my ford f 150 and my mullet. Overall amazing food and awesome place they also like my shoes

The actual restaurant is rough around the edges but everyone is so friendly and polite and the food never disappoints!!

Been going to Mr Wok for years. Hands down the best Chinese in Gahanna. I love that it’s locally owned and not just another chain. I’d recommend to anyone in the area. Please check it out when you get the chance! Especially now it’s important to support local and Asian owned businesses and Mr Wok should be on your list! Great food always :)

Hole in the wall Chinese places can be a tough read. Sometimes you will fully experience the beautiful Americanized Chinese style food many people look for in places like this, and sometimes you get food poisoning. I have never had food poisoning at Mr. Wok, I have only had the pleasure of experience pure joy in the form of honey chicken over rice. The service is quick and efficient, and there is some charm to the more rustic look of the venue.
