Blue Grass Cutlery

Wow... the previous reviewer griping about getting a high quality carbon steel pocket knife blade, then being surprised Case wouldn't warrant it. makes it seem like he doesn't know how to care for a high carbon steel blade. All it takes a little mineral oil and take pride in building up a nice even protective patina... that grayish patina it was is protecting your blade from rust.

Here is what those in the know say about BGC.... "Blue Grass had newly made John Primble trappers for sale. Tim Scott said they were completely made in Manchester Ohio. They are way more capable of building knives than Canal Street Cutlery. In some ways, they were more capable than Queen. They have original Rogers bone jigging machines and they dye their own bone."

Blue Grass and Queen Cutlery together made and assembled some pattern knives only licensed for W.R. Case Cutlery in 1988 to 1989. These knives are called Case Classics. They're not made by Case you will notice the tang stamp will never have the letters SS. Surgical Stainless steel which is a patient exclusive to W.R.Case Cutlery.
The knives from Blue Grass Cutlery were made with polished carbon steel which can and will corrode and rust over time even if stored. These Case Classics do not have a warranty, as said by W.R.Case Cutlery and they will not replace rusted or corroded knife blade even if the Case/Blue Grass knife is in new condition. That is true for Blue Grass Cutlery also.
