Listen to old country music, enjoy the cozy atmosphere, enjoy the great service and indulge in comfort foods served up in generous portions. When I visited they had a large assortment of fresh baked cookies on the counter for purchase. Edit: After lunch I ordered a peanut butter milk shake (delicious!) The owner informed me that she was out of milk, but if I didn't mind a short wait she'd send someone to get some. Great service!

My first time, but not my last. Great food and everyone there were so nice. I've always heard great things about this restaurant, I'm so glad I stopped.

They have great food and amazing service. The owner is the sweetest person I've ever met. Definitely recommend them.

We loved the sandwiches! And as a plus we said we were going to take them outside and they made us a full picnic basket with a blanket to boot! Our seven-year old son said they are the nicest people in a restaurant we have ever been to.

This place is amazing. There isn't a thing on Helen's menu that doesn't tickle your taste buds. Watching as customers enter the door and Helen knows everyone's name makes it feel like home.

Catered my brother's wedding reception. The food was fresh and delicious. Everyone raved about it.

Had one of the best BLTA’s I’ve ever had from the nicest staff! A gem of a local place in upstate NY. The homemade pasta salad was top notch - fresh and great flavor with lots of fresh ingredients. The cookies looked amazing too :) Will definitely be back to try the soups and more entrees/sandwiches anytime I’m visiting family. Thanks Angry Rooster!

Wonderful little town deli and sandwich shop! I had a veggie wrap with added meat, a drink, gummies and their oatmeal cookie (cookie was SO good!) which were all delicious - I am usually not a fan of wraps but theirs made me change my mind. The staff were wonderful too; Checkout lady was on her 1st day and learning from the other staff which reminded me to slow down and enjoy the day. Definitely a hometown gem :)

One of the most impressive little gems I've been to in a very long time. Best Pastrami Rueben you've ever had, and best service imaginable. Try the blueberry lemon zest cookies!!

I have very recently moved to caledonia and was worried I would miss out on a good sub place. I was so very wrong! I had a sub for the first time last night from this place and it was amazing. The price was so cheap and the food so very fresh. I wish i had gotten the name of the amazing lady I ordered from last night but she was so very sweet! Looking forward to being a long time customer!

Our staff enjoyed a wonderful box lunch today. Fresh wraps, drinks, chips and cookies were all delicious and appreciated by all. Thank you!!!!

I was just passing through an stopped in for a bite. I decided on posta with red sauce meat balls and Italian bread. What a surprise fresh baked bread great sauce with big pieces of tomato and huge meatballs. One of the meatballs will be lunch tomorrow. If I had gone to a fancy Italian restaurant and was presented with that meal I would have been well pleased. But for that quality food at a sit down deli, it was unexpected ( and very reasonably priced)

Excellent food. Helen is always friendly. She makes you feel welcome. It’s inviting and very clean. Creative menu & new specials keep us coming back!

Stopped for a sandwich and was very impressed. Huge sandwich with great meats as well as nice lettuce and tomatoes. Inside was a bit warm from the ovens turning out delicious looking cookies, but they also have a few tables outside.

We have had lunch a few times at the Angry Rooster, and loved everything that we've eaten. Not only has the food been excellent, but Helen was wonderfully friendly to our daughters (one of whom adores the Avocado BLT in particular - the rooster inside the store was dubbed Avocado in its honor by my girls!).

After tasting the food, we hired Helen to cater our wedding reception. Not only did she provide excellent food (including to-die-for fall-off-the-bones bbq ribs, and also some of the best coleslaw I've ever had; my girls devoured the corn muffins), but she also took care of all the other catering details like renting linens, tableware, arranging the timing for doing the champagne toast, etc. This meant we didn't have to worry about a thing on our big day which was a huge relief! Thank you Helen for all your care and attention to details! I wholeheartedly recommend!

I live in Caledonia and of all the places to eat in town the best is the Angry Rooster. I have never had less than a perfect meal there. I have eaten my way through Helen’s menu and love everything.
When my friend had surgery Helen made her favorite soup for me to take to her. Where else but ina small town and with someone as kind hearted as Helen the owner/ operator can that happen.
When Helen makes her famous greens and beans I don’t have to cook that night because my husband likes Helen’s greens and beans better than mine.
Now let’s talk about her meatballs!! BEST. I have ever had.
I love calling and asking what the special of the day is. Always makes my mouth water. She is so creative with her menus, besides her standard yummy deli sandwiches she rotates soups and other delicious meals. The portions are huge and I usually have enough for later too.
Helen takes pride in everything she serves. It really is made with love and the best ingredients and recipes. Helen has such a big heart and helps so many in our community. I have never heard anyone say a bad word and her or her cooking.
If you want to know the best place in the area to eat ask the locals..... and we will all tell you The angry rooster is where you want to go!!
My grandsons love taco night there and they get ice cream too. While I get the worlds best cannolis
Helen / angry rooster keep doing what you are doing because you have in right and a grateful Hungary community thanks you and looks forward to our next meals there.
I don’t know how anyone could write anything but a glowing review and makes me question who they are. Oh well there is always one bad apple

On a scale of one to ten. I give it a100!!!

Door was open so I walked in looking to get out of the rain and grab a coffee. Even though they were closed they made me fresh coffee and a wrap (Hippie picnic) which was wonderful! Hurry in and get a fresh peach turnover.....trust me when I say they won’t last long!

What a great experience! The food was exceptional but the friendly crew really made our meal so enjoyable.

Wonderful little place. Food (sub) was great and the soup was homemade from her garden. Super super friendly. Definitely recommend!
