Pelican's Nest Waterfront Restaurant

Pelicans nest is a classic Rochester Summer place to be. I can bring my daughter here for lunch on a bright sunny day or come later at night to drink and dance with my husband. The food is predictable but tasty. The outside seating is a major plus for me, there are umbrellas on the tables. The menu feels right for the location, the classic wings and burgers but also some seafood dishes. This is not a vegetarian friendly restaurant. The drinks are well made. On my most recent visit my daughter got a burger and I got a crab cake sandwich, the crab cake sandwich had a chipotle mayo that brought it up a notch for me, the fries were seasoned and crunchy. The classic clam appetizer brings me back to my childhood. The server was really nice. We have and will visit often.

A most enjoyable dining experience on the waterside patio. Great for friends, family, or a date. Our waitress, Amanda, enhanced the visit with her charm, friendliness, and great service! The food is absolutely delicious, nicely presented without hesitation. Fun nautical decorations around the parking lot for those tourist photo opportunities. We happily return every year!

We were visiting from Canada with two other couples. This place was a hidden GEM. The setting was great, lots of seating space and the food was absolutely fantastic. The server was very polite, always smiling and great in keeping us informed on our order. Would definitely visit again and will recommend for sure.

This is an outstanding restaurant by the river. The views are beautiful and if weather permits dine outside on the deck.
The staff were kind, helpful and dedicated. The food was delicious and the menu extensive.

Great restaurant. Amazing food. Service could use some work. A server complained to us that our server took his table. Also, huge bee problem! More traps please! Otherwise, it's a great place to eat! Love the atmosphere and the location right on the pier.

We had an amazing time last night at Pelican’s! The staff was amazing, the food and drinks were great, and the live music was so fun as always! Pelican’s was our last stop of my bachelorette wine/bus tour and it was the highlight of my night. They reserved the lounge for us for 30 people and it was great to have a private area for our large group. We pre ordered food and drinks and everything was ready for us when we arrived! We danced the night away and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere! Highly recommend! A big thanks to the owners, managers & all staff for making it special!

This was my first time here. They had some good drink specials for teachers, assuming some kind of special all year long too. Very nice menu options, not all typical bar food. The bartender and wait staff were very friendly. The place looked clean and was very busy, even at 1130 on a Friday.

This time it was my mother, niece and I. We all enjoyed the food and service. We Didi have to wait too long to get outside sitting by the lake. Marvelous evening! The food was delicious. Fabulous!

Servers are well knowledgeable about the menu. Sometimes there is a chef special dish that’s not on menu. The deck is clear and clean for outside seating on the water. The drinks you are better off going with what you know. Don’t try something new you risk having a water down drink. Still great place to eat

Pelicans has the best menu of all the waterfront restaurants in Rochester, something for everyone. Great salad selection. I added crabmeat salad to my salad. So delicious, all crab and no bread. Such a large portion I took half home. Great views and great service too!

The Pelican's Nest Waterfront is a great place to view the lake and live bands. The food and drinks are amazing. We have a fantastic person named Destiny, who was helping up pick out the drink and food. Thank you very much. The Straw hat guy.Salute.

Host and staff were very nice and accommodating.
Only draw backnis it's hard to reserve a table. We called and got an automated system. Then we tried to book on Google but they didn't receive it.
To their defense, they were booked and were down a chef.
Don't let this deter you from going.
It was an excellent experience.

We had the bang bang shrimp but we had the sauces on the side. The bang bang sauce was hot we liked the fried peppers and pineapple the sauce that was already on a shrimp was very good the service was good also.

Visiting from out of state and wanting to support local businesses,we stopped here for lunch. This place would be amazing for a sunset meal as it's located right on the river and hey have indoor and outdoor seating. The food was tasty and presentation was pleasant. We started with drinks and dessert and finished with our sandwiches. The interior is clean and the staff is professional.

The service and food here are both very good. The view is fantastic on the waterfront. I highly recommend the French fries that are fried in the battery they use for a fish fry. They are outstanding.

I always love coming to the Pelican's Nest for their delicious calamari (which are gluten free by the way!) and good vibes. All the bartenders and waitresses/waiters there are always so nice, and the waterfront view is pretty too. I like coming for lunch since it's quiet and relaxing.

Delicious cocktails! Rum punch was so great and refreshing! Pelicans shrimp was the perfect appetizer as always and the chicken French was hands down THE BEST I have had! Beautiful views, fun atmosphere and staff was great and quick with our order! Price for a beautiful night out could not have been better!

The location that is great. Right on the river and a band started around 8:30 on a Friday night. It wasn't crowded at all, we were seated quickly on the outside deck next to the river. We both had burgers which were awesome and cooked to our request. I didn't want the fries, so I was offered coleslaw instead and it was very good. Drinks were also good, the mojito was on point. We stayed for a few hours to enjoy the scenery, our server was very attentive and we weren't rushed out. It was a great evening!

Just love this place.. ambiance in the era of corona is just perfect. Music is okay. Food is good.
