Deer River Campsite

First and foremost I want to Thank the Family ownership, their hospitality to my family and I were second to none.
We rented one of their cabins, and it was clean, roomy, and comfortable and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome including our Pup !
Well constructed playground, clean restrooms, and showers, dog park, and one of the high lights was the beach area with canoe and kayak access and the views are amazing!
We Shall Return!

We have camped across the US and Canada, up into Alaska, down to Florida and this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. The grounds are immaculate and decorated as if it was one's home yard. The bathrooms are not only spotless, the owners provide shampoo, shaving cream, bath wash and disposable razors to help if you have forgotten something. Gil and Janine, the owners, take great pains to make you feel at home and your fellow campers are the friendliest lot you'll meet. Access to the lake, rental kayaks and canoes, a great playground, gameroom and a small camp store top it off. Peaceful and quiet, the loons will serenade you to sleep. Highly recommended.

Great place, quiet and safe. Very clean and the owners are always checking in with guests, there was a new BBQ on the site for us to use. Nice little very shallow beach for the kids. Lots of pine needles, need a better broom before closing the slides.

most defiantly be going back. The owners were very friendly and helpful, cabins are very comfortable, and the bed is the best i have ever slept in it's more comfortable then my own bed at home lol. my kids loved it, and my husband loved the fishing there. they have a huge play grown, a beach, and a game room for the kids.the cabin has a toilet and sink. They do have shower rooms, you have to pay$.25 for every 6 min. for hot water witch is not bad and the water is very hot. very quit and peaceful. beautiful scenery, and the staff are great. I wish we could have stayed longer it felt like home away from home. and we most defiantly need to go back because of are new pet rainbow the chipmunk as my kids say. lol

Stayed there with my travel trailer during deer season in the late 90's. Even though off season, Gil kept the hot water flowing for the bathhouse well into November. Great hosts and great place!!

We just spent 3 days with family well kept and friendly staff. Cabins are well thought with ac and heater the front also had an awning which gave us more space the kids loved the game room and the owners provided some coffee popcorn and candy which I thought was very thoughtful . See you next year

We had an excellent experience at this campground!! If you're looking for a friendly clean outdoor experience look no further. The owners are fabulous people who bent over backwards to ensure we had a pleasant experience. This certainly is a hidden gem and we will gladly go back to spend more relaxing days. Kudos to the owners and staff for top-notch hospitality.

This is by far the best campground we have ever been to. If you’re looking for a very kid friendly place to vacation, look no more. They have a game room, playground full of toys and a beautiful beach. The owners take so much pride in their campground and it shows. We stayed in a cabin and it had absolutely everything we needed. The best part is how clean this place is. You have a bathroom in your cottage but if you want a shower just take a short stroll to the cleanest shower you’ve ever stepped foot in. This place has canoe and kayak rentals and loads of activities. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Thank you to Gil and Janine for your hospitality. We can’t wait to come back again

We have recently become seasonal RV campers at Deer River Campsite and consider it one of our best choices. Nestled in the foothills and waterways of the Northern Adirondack Mountains, it doesn’t get much more scenic. The camp neighbors are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Gil and Jeanine, the owners, run a tight ship to make it fun, comfortable, safe and reasonably quiet for all. The lake is lovely and there are lots of great outdoor recreation opportunities within an hour. Highly recommended.

My wife Eva and I began camping at Deer River Campsite in 1995 after being referred to the campsite by a friend. We are avid campers and 19 years later we have not camped anywhere else!!! We absolutely fell in love with the place and consider it our home. Lots of great memories, a great group of friends and a beautiful mountain lake... What more could anyone ask for???

My family absolutely loved it there the staff was really nice this was our first time there and we will definitely be back I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and many thanks to Janine for all the help reserving the cabin God Bless You All

Un-commercialize campground! Just an old lake nice sites and good folks. More then plenty to do, hiking fishing kayaking canoeing boating swimming in the lake or lakes nearby. It’ll take you a long time to forget this place.

Very nice campground! Well maintained and everyone is so kind. The owners are real nice folks and helpful at anytime.

A hidden gem...beautiful camp ground. Season folks are warm and welcoming. Sue in the office is delightful...will definitely return.

Really didn't stay but was impressed with the owners and facilities will consider camping there in the future

Its a nice. Place to camp with things to do for all ages swimming fishing.
