Top of the line expertise, exceptional experience. Best shave/sculpt I have ever received.

This is one of the few places ANYWHERE with a solid 5.0 star review and I understand why now.

I walked in after 6+ months of growth, hoping to maintain the length and get a proper sculpt/trim. I had issues in the past with growing my beard long which were exacerbated by less than stellar shave/sculpt/trim experiences at other shops. The finished sculpt never looked as sharp or as good as I would have hoped and often in spite of my clear instructions to maintain the length the first thing they would do is shorten the length of my beard with a trimmer. It was to the point that I genuinely believed a long beard would never look right on my face.

Johnathan is someone who is clearly a master in his trade. He was incredibly friendly, courteous and professional, and effortless in his ability to clearly communicate everything he was doing (and why), and ensure that my wishes were followed. There is a clear difference in the level of service you will receive here vs. another shop or standard chain. My expectations were met or exceeded at every level and would recommend this shop anyone, especially if you are looking to maintain a long beard.

I have never felt more confident in my appearance with a beard than after my experience at Top Shave Lounge.

The phrase," you get what you pay for" absolutely applies here. I've had other barbers in the area try to help cultivate and tend to my beard in the past, but I will be sticking with Johnathan as long as I'm around here. He asks questions, gives feedback, and is an absolute professional. Highly recommended

Easily the best barber experience I've had. I lucked out that there was a cancellation that allowed for me to have a same day appointment. The service was excellent, the style and shape on my beard trim was exactly what I was looking for, and the conversation was great. Can't recommend enough.

Johnathan did an incredible job on my husband's beard and shave. All the products he uses are top quality and they smelled SO good. My husband was looking CLEAN and SO fresh for his interview. Johnathan really takes the time out to ensure a quality job and is extremely detail oriented. Not a hair was missed! We will absolutely be back!

I also want to mention he was extremely polite and even conversation with me while attending to my husband.

Love the owner! Took my call during a busy day and had a great conversation on some beard balm he sells that we are both a big fan of. Even though I’m hours and hours away in NH this cat was patient and polite and treated me like one of his buddies on my inquiry. If I was local he’d most likely be my go to guy! Sheeeeet! BEST BARBER SHOP BY A LONGSHOT! I just finished up my first haircut here and I am already booking my next appointment. This barber shop is top notch in every aspect--the ambience is top notch; the massage chair in the waiting area makes me want to arrive thirty minutes early to my next appointment; and most importantly, this was by far and away the best haircut I have ever had--is spot on with what I requested, yet it still somehow looks better than the picture I showed him for reference. Oh, and not to mention, Johnathan is an awesome guy and we had a great conversation start to finish. Lifetime customer.

What an awesome experience. I was truly pampered. I came in with no real idea of what I wanted done as I don't grow facial hair often. Johnathon helped me feel confident in my choices and gave we some at home tips. Conversation was great, vibe was great, I can't say enough nice things about my experience. Update: Had a problem with dandruff... Johnathan showed me with the help of his products, how to eliminate dandruff that (normal store bought product) will not solve and actually add to the problem and how to keep dandruff away for a very long time!!!!! Thanks for the solution, Johnathan!!

Great experience and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a precision men’s haircut without feeling rushed in and out (Aka Sports Clips etc) than Jonathan is the top barber in Minnetonka for you! Takes his time and ensures you’re getting the cut you came in for. Takes pride in his space and professional appearance. Definitely recommend as a place to get haircut for men!
