Green Gables Inn

Best place to stay in the region if you want a high level of hospitality and comfort. I was stopping to trout fish the area on the way back from Ohio to home and stayed at the Green Gables. I couldn't make the 7 pm checking because a snow storm slowed my progress, and they were wonderfully accommodating. Literally left the key under my door matt and left the light on. I have never had a hotel do that for me and I travel a lot. The room was very clean and comfortable and exactly what was pictured on their website, so NO SURPRISES. Even a view of the river and bluffs. Beds were soft and comfortable. So good I decided to suffer the snow and stay another night to fish. The owners are wonderful people. I'll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Green Gables Inn. Location was perfect. We could walk to town. Room was cute and clean. We had an efficiency room with a little kitchen. Microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot and table and chairs. It even had some utensils and dishes. We very much recommend this place and we will be back again!

This is one of my favorite places to stay in Lanesboro. I love the beautiful grounds and the outdoor gathering areas. Rooms aren't fancy but clean and comfy. It's just a short walk or ride to downtown Lanesboro. It's a great place for a group.

Been staying at Green Gables for several years now - it has become our goto place in Lanesboro. Small but comfortable rooms, beautiful common area, quiet spot with easy access to Lanesboro, Whalen, Harmony - all the local towns. The new ownership is paying attention to details as well. We booked a 2024 stay already - can’t wait to see what gets added or updated for next year.

I can't say enough about GGI! Jackie the owner is the sweetest most accommodating person you'll meet! Our rooms were all fixed up and cleaned very nice! Updated bathrooms & very comfortable beds and pillows. We had our entire wedding party stay here for the weekend and did our rehearsal dinner in the courtyard with about 50 people. It was perfect! They have a small refrigerator for your use in the ice & vending room which was helpful and then kitchenette room is literally on the courtyard patio. Couldn't be set up more perfectly. They have a nice gazebo and fire pit & people really loved the decks on the conjoining rooms. Our anniversary suite was in a separate "building" connected to one other room on the same upper deck as the rest of the rooms. Jackie called us numerous times to make sure our reservation was correct and was so helpful through our whole process. I wouldn't stay anywhere else after our experience here. 100 stars all the way!!

A wonderful place to stay, extremely clean rooms with a very comfortable bed. Bryan, the owner was great to deal with as we did a late check in. We will be back.

This is a great, no-frills hotel in the center of the Root River recreational corridor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you're unlikely to find a better place to stay in or around Lanesboro if your interests lie in simply having a convenient, quiet place to sleep at night while you're off in the daytime enjoying the many outdoor opportunities that this part of the Driftless has to offer.

Have stayed here many times and enjoyed each one. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with well kept rooms and beautiful outdoor grounds. Best value in Lanesboro for the money.

My favorite place to stay along the Root River Bike Trail. Quiet, clean, and just far enough away from the "down town" area. Check their web site for details.
