Such a beautiful place to watch the sunset. I can see why it has the name. Definitely worth the drive. Best spot was to the left of the parking lot. No hiking necessary.

My wife and I got to the point about 45min before the sunset. This evening the waves where crashing against the shoreline. Even though its summer, it was cooler sitting by the water. Great spot to enjoy the beautiful sunset and the water views!

Came here for the aurora views and saw much more. This area can be a walk in when the park closes the road For vehicles. Check the schedule on their web site. Plenty of seating and walking.

Great lil hike with the family. Saw deer. Climbed on snow. Slipped on snow... Beautiful lil family outing spot.

Such a cool place, its almost like a miniature version of the pictured rocks. A must see if you are in Marquette. Just a couple minutes and you are at the black rocks. Bring a swimsuit and you can take a dip in the pool there, then come back for a lunch at Sunset Point.

For those of us from the lower peninsula the UP is like another country - hilly and nearly mountainous, a coniferous forest of splendor with bears to boot.

If it wasn’t for the harsh winters this place would be overpopulated
