Fantastic spot for the community. Great selections and a host of activities for people to take part in.

Was able to get a very rare book for me through inter library loan that I have wanted to read for some time. Additionally has a very good selection of Greek and Roman philosophy, many copies from the early 1900s in great condition. Top notch library

Beautiful building in downtown Marquette. Helpful staff. Lots of variety of books to read. Great book sales events. Beautiful children’s area. W/c accessible.

This place has great collection of books and audio-visual resources. Staff is very helpful. They have great programs and events for all ages and have collaboration with a lot of online resources to provide services which are otherwise not available for free.

Update: Still the coolest place for kids and adults with a lot of activities and events year long to engage any member of the community.

What an awesome library. I was in from out of town for a wedding and we needed some last minute things printed out. Plenty of parking, the first person we explained our situation to was very understanding and sent us upstairs to talk to somebody. That person was also very friendly and got us hooked up with a computer and printer in no time. The library appeared to be clean quiet and spacious. Exactly what I'd want in my locker library. It appeared to also have plenty of books/resources available.

This is a great library. It's easy to find what you're looking for. The website is easy to use, and the people there are helpful and friendly. I appreciate the services they offer and just tried Library in a bag. I let them know what I like to read, they chose some books, brought them to my car and put them in my trunk. Safe and easy!

This a truly incredible place. I've never been to a library so calm, peaceful and welcoming. Every librarian says hello as I pass, and there is always someone willing to talk books. Every person I meet is so kind and helpful, as well as funny and easygoing. They are very flexible and helpful every time I visit. PWPL is a place to relax, to enjoy, and to read for hours on end, in peace and solitary contentedness.
They also have a terrific collection of books (as well as personalized suggestions) that filles many floors of the beautiful, enchanting building. If they don't have the book you want (which is almost never) then, they'll get if from any library in the U.P, and you'll have it in a blink of an eye.
Every corner of the library is stuffed with cushions and couches, and there are too many cozy nooks to count!
And, books are not the only thing they have there. PWPL has SO MANY amazing programs and galleries, open to all. There are after-school activities and treats for children, local art for everyone to enjoy, and festive, seasonal decor that brings the beautiful and pleasing atmosphere to life.
Additionally, PWPL has been marvelous at handling COVID-19. They are safely working to provide everyone with good reading material (and family to-go packs, that are AMAZING) while maintaining very healthy, cautious guidelines.
PWPL is just perfect, in every way. There has never been a better, more enjoyable library!

Excellent staff, great resources, multiple community programs and events, beautiful gardens.

Moved back in June of 2015 after being gone for 32 years. My PWPL card was a treasured possession when I was younger and now it is again! What a great place! A town couldn't ask for more.

We love Peter White library!!! Always very helpful and have everything and more that we could want and if they don't have it they will work with MELCAT to get it. Awesome library!

I go to the library to do all of my school work, online classes especially. The free wifi, quiet spaces, loads of desks and reference books are serious life-savers. The atmosphere and resources are the best.

The town of my childhood is echoed in the look and feel of Peter White, and with the improvements all around, that experience has been eclipsed. Thank you! What a pleasure. Proud!

I've so loved this library ever since I moved to Marquette! Great selection of library materials, and great venue for exhibits and concerts as well.

Every time I've visited I've been treated very well by the staff. They are always helpful should I need assistance. They get an A+ rating. No doubt about it, they are the best.
