Super chill atmosphere, and if you have the French onion soup or the clam chowder, your day just got a lot better!
I've only been here twice, but I'm a huge fan!
I have been told I must enjoy the pizza as well.

Great food, breadsticks lived up to expectations. Beefeater Sandwich was flavorful along with the Cajun horseradish sauce.
Only downside, hours wait and the kitchen must have been overwhelmed with the customers. Overall, I’d come back!

Friendly server great atmosphere food was by far.the best we have had on our trip thru the upper peninsula so far would go back in a heart beat. The bread sticks were absolutely fire and the sauce was the best marina sauce I ever had

This place never disappoints. Always busy so be prepared to wait. Great atmosphere with friendly, efficient staff. The food is always tasty and you get it exactly how the menu describes it. Decent draft beer selection.

Alex and Shauna were so very helpful and accommodating to some needs we had tonight as we had our dog. The kindness and gracious consideration was so very appreciated and we will be back for sure! Customers service like this is so hard to find lately and both were above and beyond. THANK YOU, Jeff, Janice and Maverick

Order the breadsticks for sure. There is always a wait at dinner, so be prepared for 45 min wait, but usually a bit faster. You can eat at the bar, which is easy for a couple. Cold beer, good pizza and hot sandwiches and more. Very comfortable place to be.

Only way to describe this place is WOW!! We tried the sweet potato and jerk chicken soup , clam chowder soup , burgers and the chicken parmesan. Let me tell you I live 7 hours from here and it was like a home cooked meal . The burgers were thick and juicy.. the chicken parm was incredible and those soups were the best I ever had ! They were chunky and had the perfect flavor . Our waitress was super friendly and made us feel at home . It was cozy with perfect lighting and I highly recommend it if u are ever in the Marquette area

Wonderful experience! Cheap drinks, amazing food, great service. Vibes were great. This was one of two restaurants in Marquette we got to visit on our trip to the UP from the Lower Peninsula. We would 1000% prioritize coming back to the Portside Inn on future trips!! The bread with the garlic cream cheese dip was AMAZING and you will be thinking about it for months to come. We went in May and I’m still thinking about it in August. Overall, great experience and would recommend.

Eaten here many times over the years. I love the whitefish cake and caprese salad, and the bread sticks are legendary. There's usually a wait but you can get a drink and hang out in the bar while you wait. The outdoor dining area they added a few years ago is very cute and shaded.

We were really excited to dine here given their incredibly high ratings on Google as well as Yelp. We read in reviews that even on weeknights you could expect to wait about a half hour to be seated do we went ahead of when we wanted to eat dinner. We waited about 40 minutes to be seated which is no problem since we expected that. Our waitress took our drink orders, then took our food orders when bringing us our drinks. We then did not see our waitress unt our food was ready, which made us unhappy as we went needing drink refills for about 30 minutes of the 40 minutes it took to get our food. We had to ask another waiter to refill our drinks which is unacceptable, especially since they had gotten less busy compared to when we were initially seated. Food all tasted great for everyone, however the portions were on the small side for our kids and a little bit for us adults too. My kids each got only 6 fries with their kids meals which is a little ridiculous. Needless to say that this was our worst dining experience out of our 2 full days in Marquette, especially considering all of the good reviews it has from multiple sources online. We will likely not return here when visiting Marquette in the future.

Wonderful meal this evening on the patio. Hubby and I shared a pizza and I had a side salad and he had shrimp cocktail. Great food, great service, and great weather to sit outside and enjoy.

My boyfriend and I ate at The Portside Inn today for dinner, and holy cow, the food was amazing! We started with their Portside breadsticks and their garlic cream cheese sauce made in-house. I got the Ahi Tuna burger, which had Sriracha coleslaw, tomato, lettuce, (sans red onion), and a big ol' slab of tuna grilled rare on toasted buns. He got the Barge Burger, which had sauteed mushrooms and swiss cheese on a medium rare steakburger patty and toasted buns. Their onion rings were phenomenal as well! He also got two beers: one from the local Ore Dock Brewing Company called the Bum's Beach (wheat), and one from Keweenaw Brewing Company called the Widowmaker (dark). We will definitely be going back to this place before we leave Marquette!

A cozy atmosphere and dog friendly patio! Went for apps and drinks. Got the portside nachos and portside breadsticks with the garlic cheese sauce! Incredibly delishious food! Our eyes were much larger than our stomachs! The nachos could feed 3-4 easily by themselves!

This place has absolutely amazing food and the menu has quite a variety for people that have a hard time deciding on what to get. The staff is friendly, the beer is good, the drinks are on point, and they have some awesome local art on the walls. Not really a place for kids but the atmosphere is awesome.
