Great camping spot, I highly recommend it. It’s super close to an amazing city with many things to see and do and just far enough away to be a full outdoor middle of no-where camping experience. The sites are kinda close together though. The bathrooms are very clean ! They have a small park and it’s about $30 a night for a tent site.

I think it’s a perfect mix if you want to camp and be close to town. Close to many outdoor activities. Very clean site and bathrooms. I will definitely stay again.

Camped in the tent area right next to the water. Was very peaceful and pet friendly. There is a nice trial walk along dead river and around the huge pond. It is a protected natural environment, so please do not disturb the natural beauty along the trails and river. Very convenient location for exploring the UP. Each day we went out in a different direction exploring areas of the UP... Loved it!!!

We just completed a week-long stay at the Tourist Park. Most of the sites are biggish and ours (75) this time was large and somewhat isolated. Many sites are along the water and many are in the woods. Restrooms and shows adequate and clean. Ice and wood are available. There is a tents only area that is popular especially on weekends. The Park itself is big enough to take a pretty big walk in if you go down past the dam. Just past the dam is a trailhead to an extensive mountain bike trail network. Within a 15’ drive there are longs of great hikes. A 25’ walk brings you the Lake Superior shore and a working ore dock. Lots of Marquette’s businesses and attractions are nearby.

I've been staying here off and on for around 15 years. It's great. It's typically pretty quiet unless you're camping during Hiawatha, in which case you want it to be lively.

The sites are always clean, always. The facilities are dated, but well maintained and the staff is always nice. I really like camping here whether in a tent or a camper. It's comfortable and nice.

I stayed here with 3 family members for an extended weekend festival. The campground was very cozy, the bathrooms very clean. We luckily had a campsite right next to the heated bathrooms. Showers were nice and hot.

Plenty of space at our full hook up site. Some sites had a little bit of privacy, but most were reasonably open with some shade/tree cover. That is the full hook up end of the campground, I’m not sure what the other half was like. We had site 82.

Hands down the best priced campsite we've gotten to stay at. We were near a handful of other tents and were able to make friends with some other campers, which was fun! Convenient, great price, and a beautiful spot.

Great campground. Very quiet even though it is quite big. All campers were quiet. The morning breakfast smells were amazing. Lots of serious campers.

Great camping and picnic grounds in the summer and best dog park in the winter!

fantastic place to stay on our U.P. adventure. Eva was awesome checking us in and Site 6 along the lake and next to the bathrooms was awesome. the kids loved the bike course through the woods and I even landed a couple Smallmouths on the fly below the dam. The bike trail right there hooks up to some awesome riding! Great place to stay...I highly recommend it.

What was nice for my wife and I was the ability to explore the area for the first time by bicycle right from camp. That was the reason I chose to camp here and it was even easier to get to the bike paths than I expected. The lake view was better than I expected. A local officer frequently patrolled the campground throughout the week. People were friendly. I'll definitely be back some day.

We love this campground. Close to everything and you can walk almost to anywhere, Super One Foods is about four miles for all you grocery and alcohol needs. They sell charcoal, fluid, magazines, wood in the summer and with a great meat department. Good prices. Lake Superior is like 1mile away, Presque Isle park about 2 miles away. The prices are great for a campground so close to town. Friendly staff. And they enforce the quiet hours ♥ being it is operated and patrolled by the city. There is swimming right there. The park is kept clean and have showers. 9 tent sites so book early and lots of RV sites. Some wooded some open sites.

Location was awesome, park was pretty okay. Clearly not intended to be a place to hang out. Sites are a bit weird laid out, not clear boundaries. Lots of shade as a plus though!

There we some issues with our original site due to a camper broke down and stuck in it. They moved us to the over flow site. Only electric. We had full hook up reserved. The camp supervisor Al, went above and beyond his duties to make sure we were happy. There was no fire pit, he dug one, brought some rocks to put around it and even gave us some firewood. He checked on us several times to make sure everything was ok. He was apologetic for us during our vacation and continuous made sure we were happy! He even knew the dogs names before we left. I hope Al’s supervisors read this. His is a great employee for the city and I hope he moves up and continues to have a great career in Marquette! Thanks again Al! You made our vacation stay great!

Great campground and friendly staff. The bathrooms have been updated and are your typical campground bathrooms. They have firewood stored in a shed so it doesn’t get wet and sells it for a good price. $7 for 12 pieces. I would definitely camp here again. It’s also close to campus and not far from downtown and hiking. Great camp spot. Also, is patrolled by marquette police after hours to ensure safety

Clean well tended campsites. Friendly staff. Bathrooms are super clean. Showers were hot and clean. They have family/handicapped accessable shower and bath room. With built in bench. From MN and this was one of our random vacations. We just leave and have general destinations and randomly find places. We were suggested this place from Lume. Stayed 3 nights.

Highly recommend staying here to explore the Marquette area by bike. Trails lead right out of the park. We biked to downtown using the city multi use path that hugs the lake shore. Take the path to the north to Presque Isle Park. We biked right from the campground, taking the 550 to Sugarloaf Mountain and Little Presque Isle.
The campground is clean, bathrooms well maintained. Wi-Fi. Staff was friendly and helpful. The campground sits right on the edge of the Dead River. Highly recommend camping here, we will be back again and again.
