MDOT Lake Superior Roadside Park

Fantastic stop! Bald eagles and pristine water! The beach on the western side is gorgeous and barely a sole around.

The amenities could have been better, but this is a free stop! The bathrooms were a step above port-a-potties but were clean and decently ventilated.

There are several picnic tables, but they're mostly in full sun. Plenty of parking. Well worth the stop.

Go down by the tree in the center of the turn-off, or past the railing on the far east end, for the easiest way down.

Love this park. Great spot for wave watching.
However, I tragically left a yellow action cam on a stand here a couple weeks ago. If you have it, look me up!

It's nothing special, some parking spots and a couple of pit toilets... But it affords a great view of the lake, and is a good place to rest for a bit when you're on a long drive.

We stop here often on our UP excursions. Nice scenic view of Lake Superior.

Windy & Cold but beautiful. Last day of Nov 2022 & 2 people were surfing Lk Superior due to such high winds & large waves rolling in.

Beautiful and very clean stretch of the beach. Be careful going down the slopes!
