I loved this beach. Very cold water but you can actually walk along the beach. A lot of sea birds and soft sand. Our dogs loved it.

Fantastic park for all five kids. The beach had shallow water and lots of sand to build sand castles on. The rocks we picked up were gorgeous.

Great spot to picnic, swim, and watch the sun rise. Beware of strong current, heed the swim and wind warnings. Do not attempt to go out to the rocks ...

We park at the bottom and hike the full lap through, past black rocks and around to the pavilion. Takes about 1.5 hours if you don't hurry and have a tendency to meander (we do) The views and opportunities to take photos abound, sunsets in the summer and fall are spectacular, as they would be I'd imagine in the winter. Marquette is an old City and has magic all around it. You just have to ask friendly locals where the really cool hikes are. (Little Garlic Falls). And if you're up this way you had better stop by Lakenenland, say hi to Tom and check out the 100+ enormous metal-art Sculpture Park that's free (donations accepted) and not far from Munising or Marquette. I'm not using any hyperbole at all when I say it's one of the coolest things in the UP. And that's saying something.

Took a video of the water, left to right, shore to shore. It's about 13 seconds long. You can hear the wildlife. Beautiful. I absolutely love it. Even being a cloudy day, still a good one. This is a fantastic city. No special event going today here. Being a "youthful" city you would think someone somewhere is holding some kind of fest, entertainment, parade, or anything. I'd love to. Who or whom do I speak to. I think every April 20th, we should have a recreational area indoor/outdoor venue where you have the opportunity to choose your method and ask questions, educate, sponsor, support, create, etc awareness on your local dispenserys

This is a wonderful place to stretch your legs while in the state park, lots of trees around the parking lot for shade and loads of seagulls

Awesome stretch of beach with plenty of shallow, sandy water. The day we were there it was warm enough to swim!

You can sit and watch nature without the fear of dark clothes people with badges and guns asking you why you're there. The scenery is fantastic public bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Had a pavilion with plenty of accommodation for a family reunion or wedding.

We enjoy coming here to bird watch and have a picnic lunch, while in town. It's a really nice Park to visit. The Park is still much the same. We ate a breakfast here, from Third Street Bagel, and watched birds for a bit. It is still a great place to go to have a meal from takeout!

Great place to take a stroll or just chill and watch the birds. An incredible diversity of gulls can actually be seen here at the right time of year, and in winter Snowy Owls are known to occasionally perch on the rocks!
