Snowbound Books

I love a good bookstore and Snowbound Books is that. Super cozy and quaint. Pretty book displays and lovely peculiar knacks decorating the shop. Wide selection of adult, young adult and kids books. I liked the little notecards calling out staff favorites. 10/10. You can also find some journals and book-related merch.

One of my favorite bookstores, makes me wish I lived closer!! Such thoughtfully selected display titles had me struggling to decide what I’d be leaving with. Be sure to look up higher at the nick-nacks and decor too! I can’t wait to be back!

I want to live in this bookstore. Seriously, I would give it like 1,000 stars out of 5 if I could. I love indie bookstores because every book they have on the shelves just looks incredible. The shop has super chill vibes, the staff is AWESOME. If I lived in Marquette, I would be here every single day.

Snowbound is a treasure. I am not an avid reader, but I visit the store every time friends and family are in town and I have bought several things like habit and cook books from them. They've always got fun things around the shop in addition to the books. The staff is always pleasant and the store is well organized. it is a fun place to explore.

This bookstore is an absolute dream. It has a wonderful wander-y quality with a great selection and cool gifts. The staff are very kind. It's just the best.

Every time we travel we stop at a bookstore, and so far this one is my favorite. They have a great variety with nice options displayed very nicely. I saw books I haven't seen before or are well hidden in the big box book stores, and had to limit myself from buying too much. We hope to be back next time we are in town.

Cute little bookshop that goes on and on. I really like how they have used and new books. Why not? Used books still have value. It's the thrill of the search! That makes me really love the shop. Very helpful! Cute little building, adorably compartmentalised. This bookshop is right off the main drag. Very walkable area with lots of cute shops in the vicinity. If you're in the area and you're a bookworm, you will be in love! Cookbooks are my favorite genre to look at! I'm still one of the ones that likes to buy the paper book. Loved the bookends here and great little local suggestions!

Fantastic local bookstore in the heart of Marquette. Excellent local section and a great spot to find the perfect book for vacation. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommend!

Great bookstore! A huge variety of books to browse. The staff is helpful and friendly. I had to have a book ordered and it was no problem at all, and the shipping was much quicker than expected. My kids loved the children's section and were able to find books they wanted/needed. Definitely recommend a stop!

This cute & quaint little book store were located very close to the main drag through downtown Marquette which made it an easy item to add to our itinerary. Lots of pay parking nearby, and so many other great shopping choices within walking distance. My kids & wife who are big readers really enjoyed their shopping experience here. Highly recommend it to others!

Unless I'm mistaken, the only book store in Marquette besides the ones at the college. Good selection of new publications for its size. Nice people working there. Support your local bookstores so we can keep them! Parking can be found in a garage that's on the same block. Easy walking distance, 1.00 for an hour

I was a regular here from 2014-2020 while attending NMU and it was always one of my local favorites. Since then I have lived and travelled all over the country and this is still the best independent bookstore I have been to. They do a great job of catering to all genres and manage to provide both new books and some favorite classics. My partner and I visited earlier this week on a trip back to Marquette and he was able to pick up an old fisheries textbook he has been searching for a more than fair price. Definitely worth the stop!

Wonderful local bookstore with a huge selection! They also work hard to put out an email newsletter and have great recommendations for new books. You can tell they truly care about what they do.

There is no flaw in this bookstore. Recently, I had a conversation with someone. He told me that all over America, you will not find a bookstore that even compares to this one.

While I can't say that I'm well travelled because every choice I make is wrong, I can say it is almost supernatural how great this place is.

This store is immaculate. Wall to wall books everywhere. It is extremely cozy. Almost to the point of tricking you into thinking you live there. The organization is stupid perfect. I hate it because I love it.

It took me far too long to step in and give it a whirl. They have been taking care of all my orders for JJBA for over two years. Each book has come in with incredible speed with the bonus of being in fabulous condition.

The staff is SSS+ Tier. Ask for a recommendation, you'll get it. And it will be great. Seeing them is half the fun, I swear to God.
