Server was knowledgeable and gave honest answers. Food was wonderful. Steak is great quality their sides were rich and flavorful, and their desserts were perfect, Not too rich not too ordinary. Martinis were so so smooth and done right. Perfect for a date. I’ve been quite critical on restaurants lately however the food and experience for the price was of Great Value!! We WILL be back!

Everything was amazing.. Perfectly cooked great presentation. My reviews are usually short and sweet but I could go on and on about how good the food is.. bartender is extremely quick and proficient -calm warm personality (dined at the bar) great place definitely check it out

It was so good. We went for our anniversary but my husband got the $90 steak and they charged him for steak sauce and grilled onions

Boyfriend and I went last night for our 5th anniversary. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, different staff wished us a happy anniversary at least 3 times. The martinis were delicious; the garlic mashed potatoes are out of this world. Had the shark bites as an appetizer and was great that there was 6 pieces so there was no who gets the odd 1 out; the flavor was amazing.
The swordfish with Pico is unmatched, no need to smoother it in lemon to take away fish taste (I'm not a seafood person but swordfish is 1 of the few dishes I will do and glad I did)
Topped it off with an anniversary dessert of like a triple chocolate cake, sooo good.

A truly special experienceThe food was superb. Topping things off the exceptional talent of an Oprea singer. Just spectacular. Atmosphere was lovely, except the restaurant has a an echo that makes conversation harder. They should consider sound treatment, but not that big of a deal. Friendly and polite staff. Clean and tidy surroundings. The steak is very good!

I enjoyed my visit here so much! The food we had was delicious and prepared perfectly! We did appetizers for our meal, and the portions are very generous and very nicely priced (I actually think they're not charging enough for the size and quality of the appetizers). The service was wonderful! Servers were so friendly! I'm looking forward to another dinner out here!

This place is intimate, the service is great, our waitress was the sweetest she was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. She gave great recommendations, the chef did not disappoint with the food by any means. If I could give 10 stars I would. We will be back.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday here. I had the filet with scallops and lobster tail. It was to die for delicious! Service is excellent every time we go and I've always enjoyed sitting on the second floor, it has a very nice atmosphere.This is our go to place for special occasions. ❤

We came here for our Anniversary! Our waiter was wonderful! The Ambience was nice! Our drinks were good. And the Food was outstanding! Absolutely cooked to perfection and every bite was heavenly! The only thing that could make this place better would be if they offered something while you wait for your food. Like bread. Or if the entree came with soup or salad. Wonderful place though! My husband got the Surf and Turf and the Seafood platter! And they gave us a complimentary Anniversary dessert, it was delicious ❤

Absolutely fantastic service, food, and atmosphere. It was a perfect spot for our anniversary and I would recommend this as a destination for any special occasion. There is a dress code, which was unexpected but reasonable. The drinks were reasonably priced and our server also recommended a few mocktails (I don't recall seeing them on the drink menu) for our teenager. The steaks were done to perfection and the desserts were fantastic. The menu is pricey, but worth it.

We ordered a lot of food and everything was fabulous!

The waitress was very good, knowledgeable and explained everything well. She was attentive and not overly crowding.

The waitress gave us two complementary deserts and they were both delicious. One was a chocolate cake and the other was kind of like a mini atomic cake. I don’t know what it was exactly but it was terrific.

Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back.

Great food. Some unique combination. Everything we ordered was flavorful and cooked well. Comfortable setting. My wife and I have added it as an option when we go upscale.

My waitress Vicki was great and very attentive. The garlic shrimp appetizer was amazing. I had the ribs and shrimp and was pleased with my choice, the ribs were fall off the bone tender! My hubby had the swordfish and he enjoyed it as well. I had leftovers so no room for dessert but I will definitely return.

My daughter took me for my Birthday I was born on Leap Year. It was amazing, Staff were so attentive and sweet. Food was amazing. Made my Birthday so amazing. Would definitely go back

Went with my family here before Christmas and it was outstanding! Very impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere. Overall, a very pleasant evening. My husband and I drove 2 hours from Rockford and we’d like to come back.

This was a wonderful dining experience. First, let me compliment the staff. Everyone there was so attentive and pleasant to our every needs. When I first made the reservation, I let them know I needed a table as my sister uses a walker. They found a table near the front and the bathrooms. They had people holding both doors open when we left yo make it easier for her.
The food was worth every cent. I had the seafood platter, which came with Cajun scallops. I'm not a fan of Cajun, and they kept it off the scallops. Every bite was tender and so delicious
If you are thinking of trying this place, I promise you will not be disappointed.

A little on the pricy side, but everything was above and beyond. From the oysters & seafood appetizer (grilled octopus, grilled calamari and shrimp) to the lamb chop Popsicles everything was outstanding. My bone-in ribeye was one of the best I have ever had and the filet was good too. Not a place to go every day. It is a $$$$ restaurant (w/drinks ~$100/person), but I HIGHLY recommend this place for special occasions. I will be back.

New location south of the smaller, more intimate spot, is very pleasant. The atmosphere is just right. The decor is pleasing to the eye. The menu and service remains at the top of my list here in Chicagoland. You can't miss out on Cut 158 Chophouse. From wild boar chops to lobster tail or just a salad; every dish is top shelf. Head in and enjoy yourself. Book ahead and allow yourself a solid 90 to 180 minutes to relax and enjoy this great spot.

WOW, what an awesome experience, stayed at the casino in Joliet and found this chophouse 2 blocks away, awesome awesome awesome food 30 day aged filet awesome staff, Jose (pronounce the J) Sophia, Jordan, and super efficient wait staff. Definitely a 5 Star rating, Gibson's in Chicago was good but I will have to say the steak I had here was better, 30 aged filet!!! The truffle cauliflower was not to my taste, but that was me and not 158. The oyster Rockefeller was a 4 out of 5 the bacon was too done almost chard tasting, but the well done cheese on top was delicious 😋. I only live about 60 miles south and it's not Chicago!!! So I WILL BE REVISITING!! Thank you Cut 158 staff 9-1/2 out of 10. Only because of the bacn
