This is by far the best hoagie I've had in Illinois....
Now....are you going to wait about 20 minutes for it....yes
Should you get the chocolate cake if they have it? YES!!!!
Now....I recommend the Chicago Cheese steak Hoagie
The footling is not cheap....but it's huge...can feed two....and VERY worth it.
Don't let looks deceive you and run to this place!!

I was a kid when my dad would take our family to the hoagie hut on bank ln in Highwood.

For years since they closed I’ve been very happy that this location has survived.

I hope it’s around for the next 100 years.

Still tasts the same. I use to go to the Original Hoagie Hut when I was in grade school. Service isn't fast but that is because it's made to order. But always worth the wait. Only thing that bugs be is, I wish the hours were a bit different. I have made trips there based on their Google hours posted to find out they closed early. No sign nothing. As a person that works customer service I would suggest updating your hours. It has happened to me a few times so either they close early often or their hours really are not correct on Google. I know alotnof businesses have changes their hours since covid and have shortened them but I think it should be changed in Google website etc. Gas isn't cheap. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would dislike driving 30+ minutes out to find out your closed.

First time I've gone in 10 years, food was just a good as I remembered. Amazing quality!

Best sandwiches I'm the area. Drive thru wait is worth it. Delicious and fresh. If you're in the area, this is a must.

Sweet JESUS I was not expecting to love this place so much. All I had was the Chicago cheese steak hoagie but when I tell you it blew my mind, it EXPLODED. Super unassuming outside made me think it was closed, but drive thru only! A grilled sandwich like I’d never had before.

It's a classic place. Don't be deterred by the old non lighted drive thru menu. This place has been a staple in the area for years. The pricing is relative as you get a ton of food and honestly a foot long could feed 3 people. Give them a try.

Hoagie hut started in Highwood, way back in the day..... still the same great sandwiches as ever! Get a 6" chicago cheese steak hoagie......I ve been enjoying them for 35 years!
