U-Stor-It Self Storage - Lisle

After my current storage place gave me my 3rd rent increase in a year's time, I decided to look for a better place at a better price, which somehow and hopefully will remain better for a long time. U Store It, Lisle/Naperville is a beautiful, modern, clean and well-run storage facility. Mike is super friendly and customer oriented!
Signing up was easy, and I'm happy to know my stuff is safe at a reasonable price.

Good Rates for space, Easy Process, Clean Facility (Im a cleaning company so I know 😁.

U-Stor-It in Lisle is a very nice place to store items that you just do not have room for in your home or between moves. The staff is always helpful, and the place is very clean.

Katie was amazing! Truly helped out my team today when we were in a pinch.

Staff friendly and made renting very easy. Establishment is very clean.

I only needed a unit for a few months but wanted to make sure it was climate controlled. Being a female going in and out and odd times, the setup for pulling in made me feel more secure and safe going in and out solo. Being able to pull a truck in out of the wind or rain when initially unloading was great! All the employees and even renters I encountered were awesome. Would not hesitate to rent here again.

The Good:
Great staff.
Nice paved outdoor lot.
24hr outdoor access.
Great access to tollway north south east west.

The Bad:
People sometimes park returned U-Haul trucks blocking the outdoor parking exit gate.

No after-hours management response

Rising prices for existing customers vs new.

The Ugly:
I have stored a boat there for years.
This has happened to me more than once:
If you store a trailer or vehicle in the outside lot, be aware that sometimes U-Haul returners leave their U-Haul parked in front of the outdoor storage exit gate after hours, which blocks the entrance and exit gate to outdoor storage.
The workaround is to come in through the building, then have somebody walk through a little door and re- open the back exit gate through the building (there is no access from the back lot otherwise) , or 4 Wheel drive across the grass around the obstructing U-Haul with a 6000 pound truck and 5000 pound trailer.
I have done both.
They are aware. So far have done nothing.

To management:
1)
PLEASE put a NO PARKING/ DO NOT BLOCK GATE sign in front of the outdoor storage access / exit gate. Please also put yellow pavement stripes to indicate no parking.

OR …. put a keypad at the through-building vehicle access door on the lot side. (As you know, it’s quite a trick to get back out if a uhaul has parked in front of the exit gate)

2) 24 hour response team for help when somebody parks in the way or something else goes wrong.

Thanks otherwise for a great staff, nice clean paved parking areas, and super easy major interstate access.

Ive been renting trucks from U-stor-it in lisle for years, they have great customer service and usually always have the proper size truck im looking to rent. They also have pads for rent in case you don't have any for a move , they have indoor climate controlled storage units so you can store your items year round without any worry if your items will be damaged by the elements. Mike, christy, and katie are all very polite and will help you with your needs , whatever they may be.

I recently rented a U-haul moving truck from this location after another satellite location failed on my reservation. Diane was so kind, so helpful, and patient. She reached out after a customer cancelled their reservation. She saved the day, and we were able to move my sister's belongings that Sunday afternoon. Everything was seamless. The facility is clean and bright and I will consider them for storage needs in the future as the location is safe and convenient.

These guys are great! They were able to immediately size up the size of the unit I needed. I ended up renting an indoor 10x30 which I was even able to drive up to! They have this great drive thru storage concept that made moving super simple. The Price was cheap and I even got the first month free! We were able to pack all our stuff into the storage using their free carts and we were done! After driving past this place in Lisle for so many years, I finally got to use it and I think I made the right choice! If you need storage I’d recommend this place for sure. The price, the convenience, the people - - This place rocks!

Have rented from this location on several occasions and the customer service i receive from Christie is amazing...she always knows who I am when I enter the door. By far best place to rent from when u need a Uhaul.

This place is amazing I recommend it there is a place across the street from it don’t go there it’s not as good as this one there’s a guy named Jean I think he’s the boss there’s mike and christy they have a family vibe it feels when you come here and they have great prices and a great inside and outside option this is my first time getting a storage unit and it was very much so worth it it was a great experience for me with them once again I recommend this place over others thanks to these three workers I had a great experience and would love to come back when I do 5 stars for sure

The U-Haul application for self service was a complete failure. First, I want to make it clear that the staff at U-Stor-It Self Storage at 2100 Ogden Ave, Lisle, IL 60532 has 5 stars! The staff had to assist me as the U-Haul Self Service application on my phone was a complete failure. I give the U-Haul Self-Service phone app 1 star. The staff get 5 starts for being very friendly and courteous for working with me on my reservation. Well in advance of my reservation time for pick up, I went through the entire U-Haul process of ensuring my account was ready for Self-Service online rental. When I arrived at the U-Store-It, I launched the app and began the process of identification with my photo and drivers license, located my rental vehicle and then submitted for U-Haul agent review. The app responded with that a U-Haul agent was reviewing my rental qualifications. There was a prompt that I was able to send a message to an agent. I waited 20 minutes after no movement, I sent a message and no response. I waited another 10 minutes and sent another message with no response. After 35 minutes I decided to go inside the U-Stor-It office in which they worked on my rental reservation and completed it in 5 minutes. My recommendation is do not use the Self Service app and use the in store agents to rent.

About 10 moths ago I was searching for a better space than my last storage place and definitely found it. Couldn't believe I'd been driving past this place and had never thought to stop in. we got a larger storage space from where we were and are even saving about $30 a month. Phillip has been great help and has not even raised the rent, like some places do.

Christy made the process delightful and smooth. The service was impeccable additionally she was well informed. All of knowledge and care was appreciated. 😊

Rent trucks for two weekends in a row for our moving. They have truck prepared and the staffs are helpful and makes the whole process smooth and quick.

The staff is very helpful. Especially the manager - Duane - a wonderfu, helpful, and no-nonsese man! The store is clean and well maintained. And they have U-Haul trucks too. EVERYTHING you need in one place. HIGHLY recommend it!

Mike is the greatest. He took a lot of time to show me the various storage units for the size I needed. He made the renting process easy. I am very happy with all the extra help I got there.
