Lovely views, great food and awesome ambiance! We celebrated my husband’s birthday here - Our lovely server accidentally brought out the wrong ice cream - but before she could turn around and return it to the kitchen, our daughter had seen it. She placed it on the table, and went back to the kitchen and grabbed the original ice cream order. Which was super sweet (and not necessary). But my daughter was ECSTATIC to have received two desserts:) we always have a wonderful time here.

I was there for Christmas with couple of my friends. We had a reservation for Christmas eve. It was my first proper Christmas celebration that we have ever done. It was a beautiful experience. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding as well. We just had dinner and spent some time in their lounge. I loved the ambiance of the place.

This is an incredibly special place. Everything about it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Setting was magical (even without snow), accommodations were cozy, clean and oh so comfortable beds! Breakfast delicious, dinner also! And the staff. WOW!!!
We will be back for sure - and won’t ever stay anyplace else when we come to Stowe again.

We Nordic skied and fat biked. Eric was in the shop and was one of the most helpful and informative I’ve ever encountered. Trails were lots of fun even without a lot of snow. This is a small, friendly place with plenty of climbing! I did both skate and classic.

My husband and I recently had the most amazing weekend at Edson Hill in Stowe, Vermont, which truly exceeded all our expectations. After eloping at city hall in Boston, we decided to getaway for a little mini honeymoon in Stowe, a place we have visited many times before and love. We had eaten dinner at the Edson Hill restaurant several times before, but had never stayed on the property. Luckily, it turned out to be the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and a welcoming staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special, and the fact that the resort is very gay-friendly made us feel even more comfortable and embraced.

The upscale ambiance of Edson Hill is unparalleled, from the stylish decor in our cozy cabin with a wood burning fireplace, to the beautifully landscaped grounds that provided the cutest backdrop for our romantic strolls. The atmosphere was chic and intimate, creating the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the always phenomenal restaurant on-site, where we enjoyed every meal and beverage we tried. Edson Hill is a haven of love and inclusivity, making it an ideal retreat for anyone seeking a luxurious experience. We're already dreaming about planning our return trip as soon as we can.

What an amazing place Edson Hill is! We visited last winter for dinner and decided we would have to make a trip back to stay and did so this weekend for 4 nights! We had a lovely room with a soaking tub and real fire place! It was heaven on Earth! From our late check in to our early morning check out today all was so easy and you really are treated special! The room is stocked daily with firewood and kindling. So relaxing and wonderful. We loved eating breakfast each morning in the beautifully rustic dining room and enjoyed dinner in the tavern last night. Kudos to their spicy maple margarita, it was absolutely delicious! We booked another stay our second day there and requested the room we had for this visit which they very happily obliged! There are so many wonderful things about his lovely place! It is our new favorite place to stay! The grounds and buildings are beautiful. We loved walking the trails and checking out the horses. I cannot wait to return in December!

Ate at Edson Hill for dinner (did not stay there). This was certainly one of the best fine dining experiences that I've had, maybe anywhere but definitely the best in VT. As someone with Celiac disease, I was so impressed with how knowledgeable the waitstaff was with the menu and I felt confident about eating safely. My wife and I split a cheeseboard and we were given gf sourdough bread which was incredible. For dinner, I had the venison rack and she had the scallops and pancetta. The chef specially fried the brussel sprouts on her dish to avoid cross contamination so her dish was also gluten free. Both dishes were incredible. The cocktails were great as well. I would happily go back.

Where do I begin? Edson Hill is a magical getaway - any time of the year! I had been following the inn for a while - and was recently able to experience all that it has to offer - first hand. Driving into the property is quite spectacular. The buildings are pristine and beautifully decorated inside and out - and the pastoral view with the pond and the horses and the mountains in the distance - is just amazing. Everything about Edson Hill is perfect. From the team working at check in, to the staff making sure your room is just perfect (and it was), to the team at the Tavern for dinner and for breakfasts - it's just perfect all around. And Jesse and Erik were so very welcoming to me - making sure my stay was everything I hoped it would be. Thank you so much - to all of you. I do believe it's the very best inn I have been to - and I go to a lot of them! It's my perfect escape! Maybe next time I'll let my husband join me.....but....I may just keep this amazing escape to myself! Thank you all for a wonderful last minute getaway!

I can’t speak highly enough about this gem in Stowe. It’s our second time of staying here. We stayed in one of the rooms outside of the main building this time. The staff are extremely nice, the rooms ate clean and comfortable and the food is delicious.
You must book ahead for the restaurant as this is a destination place to eat. There’s a small bar downstairs too. We also love the sitting room area with its large open fire and where you can rest and play various games.
Not to be missed is their adventure outdoor centre, from where you can rent bikes, cross-country skis and hiking snow shoes. There’s some lovely trails on the property. The hotel is 10-15 minute drive to the ski slopes and 10 minutes the other direction to shops and other restaurants, so very convenient for everything.
They could just do with a small spa and then it would be more than 5*!

Amazing. The best weekend away with my wife we have ever had. Beautiful and tasteful modern, country design of the room. Loved the wood burning fireplace. Attentive and professional staff. The common room, tavern and dining room have such an appealing timeless aesthetic. The food was exceptional. We couldn't have been happier.

We had our wedding at Edson Hill on 7/22/23. Not only is the venue stunning, but the whole team there was just incredible! Every detail, from the food & drinks, to the rooms, to the landscaping, was just perfect. The staff was friendly, flexible and attentive. They did a great job integrating outside vendors (florals, photography, etc) seamlessly.

Hands down the best place to host an event or to just away for the weekend. Already looking for an excuse to come back!

We had an absolutely fantastic dinner here. Everything was top notch; atmosphere, service, food. The mushroom toast and the duck were amazing. The property was impeccably designed. The cozy seating and lounge featuring a wood burning stove made this a charming stop on a cold winter night. We would definitely return in summer or winter and would love to stay at the property in the future.

Top notch experience all around. I had heard amazing things about this place and it did not disappoint.

The rooms is unbelievably cozy and they really thought of everything. The bed might be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever experienced, the heated floors in the bathroom was an unexpected touch of luxury, and the wood burning fireplace was fantastic.

We dined at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, as well as enjoyed drinks from the tavern. It's difficult to find bad food in Stowe, but the restaurant at Edson Hill was the best food we had during our stay. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner at least once while you are there. The tavern is also worth visiting. The decor is super cute and the drinks were fantastic.

It's also worth mentioning that the staff could not have been nicer. They were warm, friendly, and extremely accommodating. The tavern and restaurant are closed 2 days a week, but the manager went out of her way to get us a beer anyway when we had time to kill before our dinner reservation in town.

Finally, if all of this wasn't enough, the grounds are breathtaking. There isn't a corner of this property that isn't picture worthy. We will definitely be back.
