Crofter's Green

Our stay at Crofter's Green was great! We stayed in the Sugar Shack which was just the right size for two people. This is the perfect spot to stay when skiing at Jay Peak. Less than a ten minute drive to the mountain. There is also a good array food choices within 15 minutes. It snowed while we were there and the owners wasted no time in clearing the driveway for us. The hot tub was great too. We will definitely come back if we ever come back to the area.

This was our first time staying here and it was an absolute gem! A perfect cozy little cabin to relax in after a ski day at Jay. It was great to be able to bring our dog and have hiking trails on the property to let him romp around on. The property is beautiful. The shower was great with really hot water and strong water pressure. We really liked the location. In between Jay Peak and downtown Montgomery-just 5 minutes in either direction. We grabbed dinner and saw some live music at the Snow Shoe Pub in Montgomery. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle that surrounds Jay Peak. We will 💯 stay here next year for our annual trip to Jay Peak and I hope we can make it up during the Summer! Thank you!

We hosted our wedding weekend here in late September and everything was perfect. Dan and Kristin were very responsive leading up to the weekend, provided a ton of information, and were extremely helpful the weekend of for any last minute questions we had about the space. The beauty of this spot really can not be beat. You really get the freedom to make your wedding exactly how you want it.

The cabins on site were adorable and it was such a treat to host our close family and friends on site. I had driven by the tiny houses for years always wondering what they looked like inside and they definitely did not disappoint. Everything was well appointed and it is clear the thought and consideration for guests that was put in.

Aside from the venue and cabins Dan and Kristin are incredibly kind people. If you're considering Crofter's Green for a wedding or even a weekend get away, book it!

This place was PERFECT. Dog friendly, near Jay Peak, super comfortable little houses, with every detail thought of, but the best part in my opinion was the hot tub and trail network behind the little houses. It was exactly what I was looking for. If you need to decompress, this is the place for you. It's also close to Jay/Montgomery, but still quiet and woodsy and wonderful. HIGHLY recommend.

The farmhouse at Crofters Green is our happy place! It has everything we need for a cozy, relaxing getaway in a stunning location just a few miles down the road from glorious skiing, water parking, and climbing at Jay Peak. Daniel and Kristen are such gracious, thoughtful hosts and take impeccable care of the cottages and grounds. This is our 4th year coming to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it’s become one of our most treasured family traditions.

AMAZING service all around. We had our wedding here and the whole experience was very easy. Very welcoming and responsive owners. You can really tell that they take care of every detail in the space and cabins. If you're looking for a cozy VT getaway or a great venue space, look no further!

We just had our wedding here at the beginning of August and I cannot recommend this venue enough. Kristin and Daniel are amazing, so helpful, so laid-back, and kind. We were able to set up the wedding with family and friends and it was so wonderful to have the time and opportunity to work together with everyone without any pressure from the venue in terms of requirement or timing. It was such a beautiful wedding, the space is amazing and the area is fantastic. We’re not from northern Vermont, so many of our guests had to travel long distances to come to the wedding. Once everyone arrived and saw Crofter’s Green and the surrounding area, they all told us that they completely understood why we chose the space and how special it was to get to celebrate in it. This was the absolute best venue we could have chosen for our wedding and everyone from our family to our guests was just so excited about the location. We spent the night before the wedding around the fire with our friends and after the reception we had another fire which was such a great way to end the night. Crofter’s Green allows you to have the exact wedding you want, and that was exactly what we were able to do.

Had our wedding at crofters green this past weekend and it was amazing. Can’t think of a more perfect place to get married if you like to be in nature and love foliage. If you want peak foliage late September is the time to book. Kristin and Daniel are the best! Very helpful, laidback and answered all the questions we had leading up to the big day and day of. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants everlasting love

Well maintained property with plowed driveways and shoveled walkways, gorgeous fire pit area, clean and secluded hot tub, minutes from Jay Peak and local dining. Our hosts were amazing and set our cabin up perfectly for us to enjoy our weekend. We had an incredible experience this weekend at Crofter’s Green and will certainly be back for our next northern Vermont adventure!

We actually got to have our perfect wedding. From meeting Kristin and Daniel when we toured the venue in the dead of winter, to booking, to answering questions, to ensuring we had everything we needed during set up, to being available on our big day - they were a delight to work with. We are a very diy-oriented family and wanted a space to craft a specific experience - Crofter's Green was the most beautiful canvas for this. Our guests keep telling us it was their top wedding they're ever been to - we owe a HUGE part of that to Daniel and Kristin, their amazing venue, and their excellent hospitality. Pro tip: add on the night before and after (just for the price of buying out the cottages) and take your time to really relax and enjoy your wedding weekend. We had a blast with our bridal party staying at the cottages for a long weekend. (Also, we got to have our two dogs with us for the whole thing which was a must!)
I could write a ton more but TL;DR: go visit, book it, and have an amazing wedding :)

My wife and I just got married at Crofter's Green this weekend. It was a perfect and beautiful venue. The cottages were so much fun for our wedding party and provided enough space for our wedding party to get ready in on the day of the wedding. I highly recommend this venue to anyone that is looking for a Vermont paradise to get married at. In addition, the owners, Kristin and Daniel, are some of the nicest people on the plant. Come get married here and you will not regret it.

Crofter’s Green, formerly known to some as Sheady Acres, is one of my favorite places to recommend for lodging in the area. Cozy and well appointed cabins stud a mountainside meadow, and hidden in the wooded acreage is a full disc golf course and hot tub area.
All the cabins are unique and some allow pets. Just down the road from Jay Peak, fifteen minutes or less to Canada, and the best sunsets in town. All the cabins have brochures and menus from local attractions and restaurants. The Belfry is a short walk away, making it possible to indulge in delicious cocktails responsibly.
Daniel and Kristen have done an excellent job with their property - highly recommend.

My partner and I had a fantastic summer trip to Crofter's Green. We stayed in the Sugar Shack, which was adorable. All the little touches the owners provide are so sweet, like the rocking chair porch (perfect place to enjoy morning coffee/tea), and the custom keychain fitting the cottage theme. The property is truly magical, especially with the views of the mountains at sunset! The hot tub and fire pit kept us relaxed and in great spirits the whole trip. The longer we stayed, the more we loved it. Can't wait to return!

The Adobe house was amazing. The space is perfectly decorated and super clean. The hosts were so nice and there for everything we may have needed ... but we didn't need anything since they thought of everything ahead of time ... even treats and poo bags for our pups. The hot tub was awesome and the ambiance was perfection. The area feels very safe, and it is a skip away from Jay Peak. We can't wait to go back again! We had the coziest, most lovely weekend.

This place is amazing. We stayed in the Adobe - bedroom loft has beautiful views out the windows and the lower living space and kitchen was perfect to hangout. Hot tub access was great - steps away from the Adobe, the rest of the property is massive - great for snowshoeing, and Daniel & Kristin's prompt replies and suggestions for touring around in Jay Forest made everything easy. It was a great weekend and we will be back! :) Thank you!

We spent a long weekend here for skiing at Jay Peak, and had a wonderful time! Our cottage was well stocked, clean, and cozy, and the hot tub was amazing! Kristin and Daniel were super responsive and even lent us some snow shoes for treking around the property. Location is excellent--10 min drive (if that) to Jay Peak and not too far from a couple of cute towns with great post ski day restuarants.

Had an OUTSTANDING visit with my wife/business partner to Crofters Green over the New Year Holiday Weekend. There are five unique and adorable single bedroom cottages which were so cozy and clean. The property is great too with the hot tub in the woods and the hiking trails for snowshoeing. The owners were prompt, professional, kind and have a very cute dog. Would highly recommend to anyone!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and the cottage was great. While the kitchenette was small, it was surprisingly well stocked. The heated floors in the bathroom were clutch. The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. Even for double the price, I doubt you could find a private cabin to beat this place. The only downside is the that the drive isn't paved, so if you happen to get a snow dump, make sure you've got a car that can handle it.

Fabulous spot with wonderful hosts. Ideal for a touring cyclist. Great hot tub, peaceful, and close to great trails and gravel roads. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.

Not only have we had the pleasure of staying overnight in one of these adorable houses, but we've captured two weddings here so far (one in the summer, one in the fall) and both of them were absolutely fantastic. The mountain views, quiet peaceful nature of northern VT, unique little cabins that were clearly made with love, and communal layout made for wedding days that felt both relaxed and magical. There's no place like it!
