Pier 4 Cafe & Smoke House

This is the most cute cafe you could imagine. The view on the river is breathtaking. Good was delicious and the waitress was friendly and helpful in ordering. I ordered the ham omelet and a shortcake 🍰.

Stopped on our way thru Alma. Welcoming nice staff. They were short staffed so it took awhile for our food to come, but it was great and worth the wait. I had eggs, pancakes and ham..the buttermilk pancakes were excellent and the ham was thick cut, juicy and tender. My husband had the Eagles Nest and said it was very good. We definitely would return on our next time thru!

They have a gigantic breakfast menu. Along with the usual omelettes/bacon 'n eggs/pancakes, they also have "pileups", which are pretty much the contents of an omelette, plus hash browns, served in a big heap. I got the Spicy Mexican. Kept me going till mid-afternoon. Also, we had a fairly large party and didn't all arrive at one time, but the server did a great job tolerating us and keeping us happy.

Great restaurant! I’ve only been here for breakfast, but it’s kinda like a fast food restaurant (the food only takes between 5 — 10 minutes before it comes to the tables!) Keep this restaurant open until the end of time, please!

I was on vacation in Alma and I visited Pier 4 three times. I had the biscuits and gravy twice. They were delicious!!! Then I had eggs over-easy, bacon and hashbrowns. Again delicious! Beautiful views. Love seeing the barges and the trains!!!

The breakfast was awesome !! 4 of us ate here and were treated like family. After asking about the model train that runs along the ceiling they powered it up very cool . Then the real train came by only feet just outside, it will definitely blow your mind! one of the best little restraunt's I've ever visited

The horseshoe is delicious and extremely filling. I look forward to going there every time I'm in Alma.

Really good food, I had the Pier 4 burger with their tangy BBQ on the side, cheese curds were really good. Cool vibes on the patio, 75 degree day was perfect. Reasonably priced and good service too.

Omelets are phenomenal. Get the pulled pork one, it sounds weird but it is delicious. Smoked turkey one also really good. Haven't ever been outside of breakfast time but the lunch menu looks pretty good too. Love the train running around the ceiling, and views of the tracks and lock.

Cute little place sitting next to the river. Pulled pork was wonderful and though the "tangy" sauce was different from what I am used to, I really liked it. Coleslaw was very creamy and the tator tots were super good. Took a cinnamon roll as big as my face home to try later as I was very full. Definitely recommend for lunch.

On an overnight road trip stopped for gas as we were looking for a place for breakfast. This place happened to be right across the street. Didn't know what to expect but we were hungry & it was either this or pre-made gas station breakfast food. ;-( So glad we went in. It was very quaint & clean. Had plenty of seating plus it appeared to have ample outdoor seating for nicer weather. The food was very good as was the service. Our only suggestion....have bigger coffee cups or leave a pot on the table. Felt like we were drinking from espresso cups :-) My 75 yr old husband used to go on overnight road trips from Milwaukee to Alma with his "Pa" when he was a kid for fishing on the Mississippi so it brought back a lot of memories for him. Will surely stop again if we are in the area & would definitely recommend.

Great food and great service! We had a wonderful breakfast. The bacon was cooked PERFECTLY! Our waitress was delightful, courteous, friendly, and fun. We will definitely be stopping at Pier 4 whenever we're in town, and we strongly suggest you do the same! ;-)

Your 3 children are “STARVING” and the hubby and you could use some food as well. 4 Pier Cafe was the best decision we made that day! I am a huge country fried steak fan and this is the best one I have ever had. My hubby got the omelette with all the meat in it and I couldn’t believe how huge it was! The kids actually ate all their food! Amazing staff and great vibe. The view was pretty cool too being by the train tracks and dam.

Ate breakfast at Pier 4 this past Sunday morning. It was so good, reasonably priced and such a great atmosphere. Sat on the screened in porch. I highly recommend stopping in for abgreat food experience.

While on a motorcycle trip, we ate here on the recommendation of some locals. Glad we listened. The smell of fresh cinnamon buns was too tempting to pass up. Food was fantastic and the staff, pleasant. Good view of the river while we ate breakfast. This will definitely be a staple on rides around WI

Amazing breakfast at a great price - the Denver Omelette was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. Our waitress, Alexa, was outstanding. Definitely check this place out.

Chef salad was really tasty -- the smoked meat really put it above a normal salad. Big enough for two meals for me. The building is really cool too with a nice view of the river and passing trains.
