The Village Green

Went here with all intentions of a nice cheeseburger, but seen the Rueben and asked about the horseradish? My mistake, I may come back tomorrow for another! Horseradish was everything that you expected from horseradish! Rueben was cooked in front of me. My waitress was great and had a big smile. Wish I had came here sooner! Prices good and give this place a try, they didn't disappoint me.
Staying at nearby hotel and walked here, wishing I had tried sooner!

Tavern food with great friendly service. Nice clean older building. The food came out quickly. The fried pickles were great and a little unusual from others I have had. They were more like sliced spears than pickle chips. The bacon cheeseburger was a nice thick patty with hickory smoked bacon. Parking is available along the streets.

Oh, I love the village green! A great, basic hamburger good and the rings. Simple nice service. What else do you need?

Outside seating in the spring/ summer is very nice and wonderful place to grab a some drinks and apps or have some cheap tasty food for dinner.

It would be hard to find a more authentic Wisconsin experience without driving deep into the state. Owner is a very nice guy, veteran, has worked there for years and took it over from the previous owner and has kept the history going. A friendly warm place.

New cheese curd recipe is solid. Staff are amazing as always. Good prices and the perfect old time dive atmosphere.

Great Friday fish fry with friendly service.

They are known for their burgers. The JOKE is they have to put (hate to say it in a review...but)crack in their burgers. These burgers are so incredibly amazing! I've always heard so much about the burgers. I have only been a couple of times, so I haven't ever had anything but a burger.

Service is great. Everyone is so kind. It's a hole in the wall, family feel. If you're from out of town, and in the area, I highly recommend a burger from them. Simply amazing! ❤

The venue was clean. The bartender was welcoming.

Always simple and good. The burger was perfect, as was the onion peels. Spotted Cow beer was well "Spot On". Saw Betty White again too. Always fun local bar and hamburger place with a Friday Fish Fry too. No issues with service or hospitality.

This is a great place for a burger. You get to see them make yours up close and personal. Saturday is the double cheeseburger and fries special, it will fill you up. Nice enough draft selection with better than normal pricing. Great dive bar atmosphere. I did get a dram of Makers and that was a tad too high in price but you can't go wrong with the food and beer. Enjoy!!

This place is pure Wisconsin. From the wood paneling down to the floors. The lunch specials are solid and so is the bloody mary mix.

Love the Burgers here, among the best around. You can also watch them being made as the grill is right at the bar. The atmosphere is pretty simple, but the food and servers are top notch.

Great old school tavern located in downtown Middleton. It is a simple place to eat and drink. Reasonable prices on both and different food specials each day of the week. Not much has changed over over years and that isn't a bad thing.

One of the best burgers around. The place is dated, but the food is delicious.

Super tasty food! My buddy got the gumbo which he said was perfect and I got the awesome pork sandwich and fried green beans.
It’s very reasonably priced to. Definitely a great bar for all sorts of occasions.

After eating this burger I had to take a lap around the restaurant to digest the awesomeness I had just consumed. Bartender and cook were very friendly.

Best burgers in town and even better staff.

Went for their Friday Fish Fry. Was not disappointed. Four nice pieces of cod, slaw, red potatoes, hush puppies and dark rye bread. Classic. Sorry no pics, I was in too much of a hurry to eat it.
