The Local Oven

This was a great surprise as we walked around downtown. My family purchased scones, bread, and some other treats.
Also, the store had lots of nice things I would love to buy but did not need. My favorite was the bingo cards for driving trips.

Always go here. Always fun. Love the service and the doughnuts, Ice-cream, and the decorations.

Small bakery but so good! Get there early or there isn't much left to buy. We will return when we are in the area again.

I'm a big fan of good doughnuts and I'm a big fan of good ice cream. Put them together under one roof and you're a winner in my book....and I thought that I was the only one who thought this was a good idea.

Stopped on a whim to get our softball team some donuts. They didn't have the type I was hoping for, so they came up with some options and made up 2 dozen in less than 20 minutes. Great service and the donuts were even better! Highly recommend!!

Goggled bakery for Prairie du Chien and discovered this little gem. Nice little gift shop in addition to the bakery. The owner was kind and friendly. The bakery was delicious and I also found a housewarming gift for my niece. Highly recommend!!!

The treats here are always delectable. I gain 10 pounds just walking in the door.

I love to search for and shop at local bakeries whenever I take a road trip. Coming across Local Oven while spending a day driving around Prairie du Chien was a treat on a recent summer Saturday. Enjoyed a couple Bismarcks, a maple bacon frosted donut, and assorted cookies that almost didn't make it home because they were so delish. Very cute gift shop adjacent to the bakery was fun to walk around and find some unique Wisconsin memorabilia. Not too much else on this quaint downtown Main Street, but Local Oven was well worth visiting.

What a great place to have in Prairie . This store has so many things for you buy .. Wonderful baked goods ,ice cream other food items and goods .

This place has everything. Besides great baked goods you can find unique gifts, real ice cream, local meats, and every spice you may need.

Fun & unique shopping selection - whether nick-nacks, decor or Christmas items. Didn't try the baked goods but ice cream is phenomenal (purple cow especially!)!!!

Excellent bakery items and hand dipped ice cream as well as a well stocked gift shop of unique items. Topped with friendly service, you can't go wrong.
