Sandpiper Inn on Lake Bernice

My husband and I had checked the menu out prior to going there. We arrived right at opening on a Wednesday. There were 7 vehicles there already. Doors opened right at 4pm. The way they did their seating was different than I was used to. When you walk in you go to the hostess stand and sign in as well as order your food. This was an all you can eat night and it was served family style. You would get called to your table when your food was ready. That was great.
The waitress was alone in serving the food. She did an excellent job keeping up with the all you can eat. The diner is small with approximately 13 tables. The bartender was very nice as well. The prices of food and drinks were very reasonable.

Great place for fish, chicken, etc. Staff very friendly. Not a lot of dining space and the bar area fills fast for dinner people waiting.

You should order off the menu online before you go and your food will be ready when you arrive. Food was served family style to us.

First visit back to the Sandpiper with the new owners was a delight! The food quality, the attentive staff, and the spotless restaurant exceeded expectations. My wife and I savored the Broasted Chicken and fries, clearly freshly cooked as it arrived piping hot - almost too hot to handle! The crispy crust was bursting with flavor. If you haven't experienced the revamped Sandpiper yet, make your way there soon.

Food was great, the fish and chicken to die for! The coleslaw if you're a vinegar person it's mouth watering and the German....don't get me started....we absolutely loved the food the people the place and the views from the windows from the lake to woods

Food was delicious. Prices in line with other restaurants. Small dining area and bar. Lacked any notable atmosphere.

AMAZING boasted chicken and beer battered cod special on Friday nights. It is our go to place for walleye, perch and bluegill. The food is always piping hot and fresh. We love the service and seeing the staff each time we dine in. Definitely an affordable meal and friendly staff.

Just a great place to relax and unwind after long work week. Crowded at time we arrived (our fault) great bar tending service, seated promptly. Just good all around Wisc Friday fish fry.

we dined here and two of us in our group had the 10oz steak and another one of us had the smoked brisket. the food was simply amazing. we agreed it was probably the best steak we have had in years! add the sour cream and chive fries as your potato choice and you won’t be disappointed 😀

I was on my bike, exhausted and running out of water when I ran across the Sandpiper like an Oasis in the desert. The owner and staff were incredibly kind and generous. They saved my afternoon. Had I not needed to go another 20 miles, I would have stayed for the ribs!

Tonight was prime rib sandwiches. Great food. Fun times.

Kevin and Laura the owners are the best kind and helpful. Delicious food. Kevin makes the best old fashions . Everyone comes to see them and eat the all you can eat broasted chicken. Outstanding. These two really put there heart and soul into this restaurant. You can't go wrong.

Excellent food, drinks, and phenomenal waitress, it was a large family gathering after funeral. The waitress was amazing, we kept her busy the entire time. Definitely going back.

Th is little gem is just great!!!
The fried chicken special is great. Great hot, fresh cooked chicken, with sides that includes corn, your choice of potatoes; we chose mashed, and stuffing with gravy.
Now when you serve that with great old fashions and service, it definitely makes you want to come back again.

Always a good dining experience for many years at Sandpiper, boasted chicken is the best anywhere. Prime Rib is also outstanding.

Hadn't eaten here in nearly 20 years. Took my wife there for the first time, and still loved it. We both had a fish fry (perch and haddock) and we're extremely happy. Prices are certainly in point, especially considering the quality. We certainly will go back in the near future.
