The Olde Cedar Inn

Very quaint restaurant and bar. Bar is connected to the dining area with great music while you eat. We stopped for lunch and had chicken wraps, cheeseburger, and blt sandwiches. Everything was made with large portions, and French fries are crisp outside and tender delicious inside.

On Wednesday it's all you can eat smelts. I love this place, I've only been to this place 2 times and plan to go often. I have loved smelts since I was a little girl and now I was told about this place from my next door neighbor that knows that I love smelts. They open at 11:00 a. m. But you have to make a reservation it will be best because it will get packed fast.

We got there early and were seated immediately.(Glad we did)
They get really busy and for good reason. The food was amazing and the servings were huge. We had enough leftover for another dinner.
Service was a little off. We started with one server, and she was suddenly gone, and a second server took over. She was nice and did a good job. They were so busy, but she did the best she could.

First time here. Came for lunch with my boys and my mother after.leaving from Little Switzerland ski area. Menu is rather extensive. They had an all-you-can-eat broasted chicken option which I seldom see, not that that's a good idea for anyone! There is only one handicap spot which was taken which made it more difficult for my mother to get inside, though no stairs. Place looks like it's more bar focused though the back area does have a seating section. Service was a little bit slow. They only had one waitress and she was working hard, so no fault of hers. Waitress did a great job being friendly, professional, and very efficient. I got the shrimp wrap, my son got the Mac wrap, my other son got the royal burger. Everything was great, especially the burger presentation. Walking into the place didn't expect to be the food to be so good!

Very great place for a dinner. Everything was cooked so perfectly. Even my wife's steak which she's very very picky about was done perfect. Love the holiday decor. Great choice's on menu for holidays. Great price's and portion's. We got the Steak for 2 meal, with crab legs and twice baked potatoes and peppermint cheesecake. My wife's Bloody Mary was good. Very good on refills on soda. Service was AWSOME. Very friendly and helpful people. Will definitely be back. Great job.

Not really busy when I got there. Was seated quickly & brought a drink, which was made just right. Appetizer ordered along with dinner. Soup arrived first & 10 min later appetizer arrived. Within 15 min I had my whole meal. Soup wasn't real hot & seemed more potatoes in it than clams. Not really spicy. Kind of bland. After food delivered, no one stopped to ask if all was well, if I needed anything. Had to ask for bread sticks and butter after I was seated. Asked for take out containers. Staff could take the empty stuff away, but did little more. Even had to ask for water. Definitely got enough food for the money & served hot. For those that are concerned; no one wears masks & social distancing is not available.

I'm not sure why I'm writing this review because I'm 100% ok with it if less people discover this gem! They don't have tons of seating for eating, but we came late afternoon and had plenty of space, service, and AMAZING food! So so good!!

Great place to eat! Wonderful location right by Big Cedar Lake. They have a nice bar and nice, small dining area. The fish fry on Friday features perch and haddock, and the chicken special on Sunday is delicious. Friendly service and fun atmosphere too!

We stopped in and tried the broasted chicken special. Mmm, the chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and tasty on the inside. I only wish they included cranberries. Very friendly service. I am sure we will be back again.

Love this place, my favorite fish fry in the area. A lovely atmosphere. And our server was wo wonderful!!

2nd time going w my mom. Very clean, big bar. 1st time there had their famous fried chix omg..2nd time I had the walley asked to blacked the fish.TASTY. mom had fried chix twice. Everyone was very nice and food was hot and on time. Was busy. Call or check wait times. It is a small place but big thumbs up. I rate their chix 1 KFC 2 believe it or not kwik trip has good chix. Go to the bar have yourself sum of your fav stress reliever. Then get that fried chix.

Joel and Nadine have out done themselves! The decor is fantastic, the food is top line, the service is fantastic! I recommend you call ahead to reserve a table for Friday night. Walk ins are welcome but you will wait a long time before you get to eat.

Unbelievable Sunday broasted chicken dinner. Best ever according to my wife. $13 all you can eat. Winner winner. Chicken dinner.

The roasted chicken meals on Sunday are phenomenal been there many times. I tell a lot of people to go there that they would like it. Sometimes there's a little bit of a wait not too bad

Ribs and chicken was awesome. Lots of flavor. 1 table left when we arrived. Pleasant staff. If we are in the area again I will be there!

We had broasted chicken, Cheesy vegetable soup, Patty melt and fries. Everything was very good. Quick service, good prices, would highly recommend.

Our first time and they didn't disappoint! I had the salmon with drawn butter, oh my gosh!! That was amazing, melt in your mouth delicious 😋! My hubby had the tenderloin medallions. Done perfectly and so tender. We will definitely be back. We want to try the fish fry next. Everyone was so friendly, the drinks were good. Overall excellent.

First time here in over 20 years. Will definitely be back!
