Wilton Community Campground

My August 2024 visit to the campground turned out to be an enjoyable event. My prior visit occurred 9 years earlier, in 2015. The community had made upgrades to the camp grounds. Whether tenting or sheltering in something with walls and a roof, the park is inviting in its appearance.

Great facilities. Super nice place to camp off the trail. Has electric, showers, wood, and laundry! You do have to go up by the library to pay. Will definitely be back.

One of my favorites places to camp and it’s fully open! 30 amp service for the RV and PLENTY of spots for tent camping. No reservations required (or even taken). Hot showers (hint: use the showers closest to the middle of the building for more hot water and bring plenty of quarters! -$.50 for 4 min for shower). Great city park... a phenomenal find! $7 per adult and another $3 for electricity per day. Quiet, edge of this small town on the heart of the Sparta Elroy bike trail.

We had a great time at Wilton Community Campground. The place was clean, will maintained, and great for kids. They have 30a and 110v hookups for campers. No water at the sites, but they have an outside spigot at the washroom you can get potable water from. They have clean showers, it's close to their really nice downtown, the public pool and volleyball is right there too, and it's right along the Kickapoo River. Amazingly, despite record rainfall this June, there were almost no mosquitos .

The camp grounds keeper/host was top notch . He really showed to care about everyone having a good time and was very courteous and helpful.

We would definitely go back .

Beautiful little camping site. Very clean showers, rest rooms, washer/dryer, dump station, and fresh water spigot (byoh). Next to a nice pool, park with playground and a few blocks from the Elroy-Sparta bike trail. Would highly recommend!

Camped with my boy scout troop. Lots of room for tents, cooking areas, room to play, and a nice fire ring. Pool, sand pit volleyball, flush toilet, and showers. Right near the tail. Very nice and clean, Tom was very helpful. We'll be back.

Awesome campground. Central location on the trail. Clean showers and power :) awesome stay!

Great caretaker. Very convenient for the trail, library, swimming pool (public- seasonal), downtown (very small). Showers, dump station and laundry all worked well. Good experience for us.

Nice and clean and quiet after 10 pm. Coin operated shower ($0.50 for 4 minutes of hot water.) Also coin operated laundry. $8 per adult per night. Worth every penny.

Beautiful small campground right next to kickapoo river. Mostly setup for tent camping. All grass sites. Has elec, 15a and a few 30a for trailers and smaller motor homes. Shower and toilet building. New dump station last year.

Best camping space eveeer!!! Plenty of space, 4 min shower for .50 cents, people around was super nice and no reservations needed! I would totally recommend.

Nice camp grounds. Very easy access from the trail. Friendly and curteous. The Wilton City pool right next door is a big plus.

Excellent bike trail location. Midpoint, equal distance to Elroy or Sparta.

Grassy area for group tent camping. Shelter, showers, next to community swimming pool, good access to and from Elroy Sparta State Trail.

Plenty of RV space. Pool during summer months and close to bike trail. Perfect for family camping.

The fireworks were awesome! Great show! The crowd loved it and were applauding them!

Lovely site, with showers, tolet an laundry and all for $7 per person. Most excellent.

The showers were nice and the bugs were not too bad.

Camping was great, facilities were great and prices were reasonable.
