Michael's Restaurant

We stopped by the Saturday before Thanksgiving and arrived around 4 p.m. There was plenty of seating, but it started to fill up around 5 p.m. The owner came and greeted us and even spent time telling us about his favorite dishes. The staff and the waitress were amazing. Highly recommended for great Kentucky Hometown cooking and comfort food.

First time here and in the area. Staff and patrons were fantastic. Very friendly. Good conversation with the locals.
I had the ribeye special. Best ribeye I have had in quite a while. Cooked perfect and huge.
Worth the price. Leftover will be breakfast tomorrow.

We eat lunch here a couple Sunday's a month after church. The food is always delicious, and you'd swear that your grandma was in the kitchen because everything tastes homemade. The fish on the buffet is my favorite.

They can be quite busy at times, but they have a lot of seats so there isn't much of a wait, if any. I've never actually ordered off the menu, but my in-laws swear they have one of the best steaks you'll ever eat.

Although slightly pricey, they have wonderful food. I've known the head cook for many many years. She's an absolutely amazing cook, it's a home-cooked buffet style. If you don't stop and give them a try at least once, you're missing out on a great meal.

My husband thinks they have the best lamb fries in the world. I enjoy a little bit of everything. They make you feel at home. The wait staff is great. You can be a party of two or a party of 20 and always treated the same. Bill and Carol Prewitt.

This was my first visit to Michael's, and I enjoyed it a lot. It's a buffet style restaurant with a home cooked feel. The buffet had a great selection (ribs, fish, chicken liver, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, greens, fried potatoes, etc.). Everything was very good. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping in.

Great Stromboli, great cheese steak. Excellent service in a clean relaxed atmosphere. The owner makes sure all is good and everyone is happy. We're thankful to have this family restaurant in our town.

Delicious! Went for the first time today. Delivered big Southern cuisine flavors. Clean, comfortable. Friendly folks. Easy to find. Ill be going back!

We drive over from Lexington there's not too many places like this in the whole state. Everything they fix is made from scratch . And Michael and his wife is always there and so friendly . The food is just wonderful. I would highly recommend it it's worth the drive !

Great "country cooking" buffet with a surprising amount of options. Everything was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive despite how busy it was. This was all on Thanksgiving Day, so I was thoroughly impressed.

Stopped in to eat after visiting the Mountain Mushroom Festival in Irvine yesterday. The food was amazingly delicious, the place was quite clean and the staff was very friendly. I wouldn't mind the drive from Richmond to Ravenna just to go back and eat there again. We did the buffet, and they had county ham, Salisbury steak, THE BEST cooked catfish that I've ever had and many other sides and desserts available along with a salad bar. 5 BIG Stars from me.

The owner is an old school hoot and a gentleman! The good is homemade, down home, hand made goodness. Their fried fish is the best I have ever had!

The food was so good. Best buffet I've seen. We will definitely be going back. The people were so nice and friendly. And super clean bathroom.

I hate fish but I love eating it here. Everything is good and the owners are super sweet people! It is a little pricey for Irvine but you get what you pay for I think. I would rather pay a high price for GREAT tasting (clean) food as to pay cheap for greasy fast food that I'm puking out 10 minutes later!!

The food is all home cooking seasoned just right.
This restraunt is "so" worth the drive!!!!
13.00 a piece all you can eat buffet. You leave here hungry and it's your own fault.

Delicious breakfast. Real sausage gravy and hand made biscuits. Bacon made to order. Great coffee and excellent service. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

They have an amazing buffet and the place is spotless. Great service to go along with delicious home cooked food. Highly recommend if you are driving through the area.

Great place to eat. This place is like a hidden jem with in the mountains. Try there catfish the gamily loves it and cant resist stopping everytime we go by Michael's. We dont get to get up that way often but when we do we stop and get a whole tray of the catfish.

Love the fish and best Cole slaw there is !! Took some friends from West Liberty and all they say is when can we go back and how soon. They loved it, I sure got brownies points for that trip !!!!!
