Tru by Hilton Richmond

Great hotel for a quick work trip, and I will actually frequent this hotel when working in the area. It was clean, well-lit, and conveniently located. All of the staff were kind and polite, and the entire hotel was quiet and relaxing. The wifi was even strong enough for Zoom meetings, a huge plus given that most hotel wifi will trigger the low bandwidth alert.
I did notice there was a lack of space to put things, so the room did feel small and cluttered pretty quickly.
I used the rolling desk as a luggage rack. While the shelf over the air conditioner could be used as well, but the sun coming through the window was hot enough to melt self-care products, and the cool air mixing with the heat from the sun created a little moisture. The desk fits perfectly in the alcove behind the door, so I'll continue to use this trick as it really opens up the room.
In the bathroom, amenities are nice, but again, the lack of shelving was a little inconvenient. There's a thin shelf over / behind the toilet, but where do you think things will go if they fall? I'm a single traveler, but I need space for dental care, contacts, face products, and deodorant. The counter around the sink was available, but the soap and lotion are mounted to the wall so that you squeeze and it comes out the bottom, so I couldn't put my toiletry bag there, and it wouldn't fit on the shelf behind the toilet.
There was a note about hanging things on hooks on a door, and with my work dresses and jackets, I filled that quickly.

I absolutely love the lobby decor it's so different, my room was perfect size for me, everything had it place with no space wasted. I highly recommend staying here.

Go to place even I visit my teen at EKU. Love the mural and the spot to write favorite restaurants etc. They even have a pool table in the lobby and comfortable chairs to hang out. There was comfortable seating outside with charcoal grills. The staff was very friendly and I appreciated the eggs/bacon while my teen loved the made your own pancake. Only downside was the room was very warm despite being set at 66 ( couldn’t turn it lower). To be fair, I didn’t call about it as it was late and I was tired. Hopefully it was just my room. I loved that there was no carpet as I have allergies.

And of course traveling Hilton has always been my choice but this particular hotel has been wonderful. Staff goes above and beyond, and anyone that knows me knows I am a clean freak!! So of course I panic if my room was not perfect. The hotel is always immaculate. Of course in any place you stay I'm sure you will run into minor issues randomly with a missing screw here or there but I never saw anything. Our room was perfect. The lobby was absolutely beautiful!!! The gym area as well. OMG you have to stay just to relax in the lobby!!! It's like a cafe type area, very large. So many places to sit and just relax and read or get on your computer. Play pool.This is my absolute favorite hotel in Richmond KY!!! Also you won't beat there breakfast bar!! It's not just the standard hotel breakfast. It's very classy, exactly what you would expect from Hilton.

Stopped here on my way home from vacation. Clean hotel and room in a great location right off the interstate. Fluffy comfy pillows. Had everything I needed, except I just wish their water dispenser in the lobby was working. That is partially why I choose Tru over other hotels so that was a bummer. Appreciate they always have coffee available and breakfast in the morning. Would have liked to have watched something besides Fox News on all of their ten tvs they had on while I was eating. Would stay again

Very clean room. Smaller than most but had everything you needed. Quiet. Couldnt hear any neighbors and was in a nice safe location with plenty of parking. The bed was very comfortable and bug free. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by.
Lobby was a cool place to hang out. Lots of neat nooks and swings to relax. And a pool table which was different and totally cool. A nice breakfast with a mixture of hot and cold items. Good value.
Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again when passing this way.

This was our first stay at a Tru motel. We were pleasantly surprised! The entry foyer is open and welcoming with plenty of room to meet with friends, and every single staff member we met was pleasant and friendly. The rooms were very clean. I will definitely stay there again.

Location was pretty central to places to shop and eat. Room was very clean.
Only complaint I really have is that the pillows are VERY soft. Like, new ones are needed.
Wifi was sufficient for me to work during my stay and for my husband to game while he waited for me. Powdered eggs could use a little work but the coffee was good! Loved that they had coffee mate creamer vs international delight! 👍

The entire place was extra clean! We love the concept of the “ Tru” brand! The staff, ( day and night,) were extremely helpful and courteous! The shower gel, shampoo and lotion in the rooms is the bomb! Breakfast is great! Fresh coffee 24/7 and comfy beds !!

Love the staff! Always so energetic and always greet you with a smile. Hotel was very clean and organized. Breakfast was great as always! Love the pancakes the most! I would definitely stay here again!

This truly (pun intended) is one of my favorite hotels to stay at. Always a great breakfast, always a clean room, plenty of walkable restaurants to choose from. Great place to stay when you get a chance.

This was the best smelling hotel I have ever stayed at! Our room was very nice and clean too. The glass shower kinda gave me a scare because the floor was slick but everything else was great.

A different concept in hotels, not for everyone but I enjoyed my stay.
The lobby has a pool table among other things for entertainment they have a small pool and fitness room. The whole place is modern and colorful. The rooms are very minimalist and functional, little storage but that was fine with me. Bright decor a comfortable bed, large TV, reliable WiFi, a total of 6 yes 6 usb power outlets, and my favorite thing NO CARPET to bother my allergies.
My only real complaint is it would have been nice to have a microwave in the room, there is one in the lobby though.
The price was well under $100 a night I like the style of Tru by Hilton and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Love the location. Great staff. Lobby is inviting and friendly. Great overnight stay with entertainment and several nice dining establishments within walking distance. Newest hotel in Richmond I'll be back for sure.

The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the soaps were full, and most importantly the staff of Kathy and her manager Neil were very friendly and proactive in making sure we had a great stay. We had been driving all day and they were genuinely empathetic.

The option to purchase higher speed internet, aside from the free service offered with stay was nice. Love the beds & down pillows. Super comfortable. Clean. If it wasn't for the unnecessarily loud guests next door, I wouldn't have a single complaint about our stay. As far as the hotel itself, I have no complaints and would definitely recommend.

1st time I've stayed in this brand of Hilton hotel. We were happy that we were able to check in early after driving overnight. The beds were firm yet very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Everything was clean. The room was tiled which I thought was great because you could see that it was clean.

Best hotel to stay at in Richmond! Staff is friendly and the manager Neil make sure your entire process is smooth and easy. Love the pool table and updated furniture in the lobby. Great hotel and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Richmond.

Slightly smaller rooms (2 ft.), but great if you have no family and its just a couple. Place is new and feels it. Bed and pillows were quite nice as well. Very clean. Breakfast is decent. One of the better sub $100 stays I've had on the road. Definitely reccomend.

Comfortable beds, nice rooms, great breakfast choices, friendly, professional staff. Reasonably priced. Great location. What more could you ask for. I will still again.
