Pipewort Pond Nature Preserve

Easy walking trail - suitable for all age levels and abilities. The paths are about 6-8 feet wide and mowed periodically. There are no amenities at this park, it is more for walking, wildlife viewing, and enjoying nature. Prairie grasses attract many birds, such as native sparrows, bluebirds, etc. Rarely see anyone else at this location. With little shade, walking can get quite hot during the summer.

Really easy hike, mainly prairie style except for a few trails that briefly go down to the water area.

Very clean, quiet nature preserve perfect for a quick walk. It's especially pretty with the fall colors.

Small park with good, but short, trails.

A little small compared to some of the other places you can go in the area, but it is well maintained and beautiful. I loved that there was a boot wipe to help stop the spread of invasive species - first time I've ever seen that!

Lots of Monarch Butterflies and birds on well groomed grass trails. Deer flies can be a pest on warm days, but a great place to view nature..
